The room was just about perfect for what we were looking for. Nice kitchenette, bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked well and this was a very nice location for the walk on the path into town. Only 10 minutes and we were in the midst of the restaurants and also the boat tour and ferry to Madeline Island.

Property is beautifully located above the lake and a convenient trail into town. The room was well appointed and was like new. The bed was comfortable and the view was very nice. Our primary complaint was that the room abutted the motel’s laundry room for housekeeping and was noisy in the morning and in the evening. There are hard surfaces on the floor of the room above ours and we could hear steps, rolling luggage clearly. Avoid rooms #7 & #8, in our opinion. That being said, we did otherwise love our stay.

We spent 2 nights at Seagull Bay and loved how close it was to the downtown area via the short walk 10 minute on the Brownstone trail. The view is hard to beat as well, you look out over the harbor and can watch the ferry's going back and forth between Bayfield and Madeline Island all day. The bed was very comfy, and the ac kept the room nice and cold at night, they are ultra quite as well which was a huge bonus. They do provide noise machines for guests that would like background noise. The only downside was it being and older motel was the sound proofing between room is not the greatest, that being said everyone was super respectful and we would not hesitate to stay here again!

The property was just “ok”. It definitely didn’t ruin our stay in Bayfield as the area is wonderful! Hotels.com needs to correct the information for this motel because there definitely is not daily housekeeping. The property was very good about fast response when messaging from the app, but nobody seemed to be physically around on the property during our 3 night stay.
