The Cottage on Mill street with Hot Tub
The warm cottage setting is relaxed. Pets welcome (except on Beds/Furniture). Located on Mill St. in 'olde town', where the charm of Bayfield takes guests back to a simpler time. Pet-parks, Restaurants, Lakes, Fishing, Skiing, Hiking, Mesa Verde are within striking distance. There are many places to visit while staying at this centrally located country home. Consider a trip on the narrow gauge train to Silverton from the Durango Depot or visit the Hot Springs in Pagosa Springs for a spa day.
The space
The hot tub for six, is a recent addition for your Colorado star filled evening experience. Our pet-friendly cottage provides a shaded, fenced yard with grass for your pets to chill in.
The Cottage has In-floor heating and air conditioning for year-round comfort. Two bedrooms, Living room (with pull out bed on the couch), dining room, and the Sun Room ( twin day bed) and ceiling fans. Plenty of windows bring the outside in. Two full bathrooms. THE FRONT PATIO HAS A SECURITY CAMERA AND NO OTHER CAMERAS. THE TOWN IS EXTREMELY SAFE AS WELL.

The Cottage was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! Our family of 5 slept very comfortable!We stayed Feb. 23-28, 2026, to go skiing & ride the Durango Train. It had everything we needed!Kurt was extremely helpful & accommodating to our Denver fly-out circumstance.THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!Also, there is a Mexican Restaurant beside The Cottage, that is very good…. and being from Corpus Christi, TX…. we know good Mexican food!

This cottage had everything and more. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. You know when you stay at places, and they don’t have any of the little things needed to make dinners? This place had everything. We didn’t have to make any additional trips to the store because the cottage had it all! We loved our stay and will definitely reserve it again.

Perfect, cute little cottage in a quiet town. It had everything we needed and was very clean. I appreciated all the labeling on the light switches, etc. The hot tub was very relaxing. We enjoyed walking around in the vicinity and discovered a fun little thrift store and lots of restaurants nearby! If the weather had been better, the park (also within walking distance) would have been great too.

We enjoyed our time in this lovely, clean cottage and absolutely loved Bayfield. Its proximity to Pagosa Springs, Durango and all the great hiking trails in the San Juan mountains was perfect for us. We liked Bottom Shelf Brewery so much that we visited twice. Also loved the fenced in yard for the dogs.

The house was beautiful. Amenities were well kept. Location is perfect. Plenty of resting space (slept 1 couple and 3 individuals perfectly). Expectations were clear and concise. Communication with owner was wonderful. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Will try and book again when I visit thr area in the future!

Family Visit
The facility was very good. Our visit to Bayfield was to attend a wedding so almost all of our use of the facility was to sleep and visit. The very nice kitchen was not used to prepare meals. Will consider using the facility in the future, VERY convenient.

We had a great stay at the cottage in Bayfield. We lucked out with parking, and the house was cool, clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us, and the cottage was clean. Overall it was a great stay!

Lovely home. My dog enjoyed the backyard immensely. The location was primo for my day trips to the Four Corners and Mesa Verde. Also a great launch up to Durango and Silverton. I was extremely happy with how quiet the master was. The antiques were cute and the transom windows were pretty. Would definitely stay again or recommend.
