“Front desk staff were very helpful arranging taxis for hikes. Seaview room was very spacious and bed was very comfortable Breakfast had a good variety of food. Tile in swimming pool was very slippery.”

“Pour rester le plus objectif possible, je dirais que l’hôtel est idéal pour les voyageurs en quête d’authenticité (cadre, environnement, architecture….) Cependant, ne cherchez pas la tranquillité absolue, car l’ancien édifice réhabilité en hôtel reste mal insonorisé. Nous avions une chambre au 1er étage où nous avions l’impression d’avoir les voisins dans la salle de bain. Non pas que ces derniers étaient bruyants, loin de là, mais la conception et le cloisonnement ne sont pas dignes d’un hôtel……

“Food was great and varied,, house keeping staff were brilliant especially Isobel silva Pools were clean but cold Staff at reception were brilliant The only down side I could find was the beds were too hard and very worn, and could do with replacing. Overall a great place to stay but be aware on-site parking is 10 euros a day and the room safe is 19 euros a week ???? But if you want a good clean and well staffed hotel Look no further. ”

“The Hotel and staff were really charming. Location excellent and enjoyed sitting outside with a drink watching the tourists having their picture taken with ‘Winston’ buzzy little town with good connections to Funchal. Will happily come back. Food was also very good ”

“Casa das Videiras is located on a very narrow, windy one-way street. A few feet past the property is a very small free public parking lot with approximately 8 spots. The location in Seixal is pretty great, because it is walking distance to the public beach and natural swimming pools. It is close to the water which means, you don't have to endure much elevation change when walking around. However, because of its proximity to the water, parking can be challenging at any other time than late……

“This hotel is new. The property is beautiful. The front desk staff are friendly, incredibly helpful and speak multiple languages. Some of the other staff are getting adjusted but when they do get some experience this place will be flawless!”

“A lovely hotel which was comfortable and well sutuated. The beds and pillows were excellent, very comfortable. Full control over room temperature and a nice hot shower. Great sauna facilities for ten euro each.”

“The staff (housekeeping, reception, hospitality, even maintenance) were top notch; people who appear to have found their niche in providing a welcoming, comfortable environment. The location and amenities were also great. Being built on the side of a cliff, the view from every room we visited was difficult to beat. The drawbacks of this hotel are (1) limited free parking (2) a location that’s a bit further from downtown amenities than some other options; requiring a car or using the convenient……

“It was the perfect room over looking the ocean. It was a great way to start my birthday weekend. The staff was exceptional. I really appreciated the little extra touches, like having a birthday cake made out of towels and flowers and an actual birthday cake in my room. It's convenient to a lot of things. Everyone in my party would definitely stay here again.”

“Need some refurnishment. Not convenient to check in and out with remote controller of air conditioner and TV - suggest to keep in room. Good seaview of room is the advantage but prefer more comfortable stay...”
