The Bealey is a great hotel. We had a spacious villa with an amazing view. The staff were all very nice. Food options adequate - nothing fancy. Good location near many walking tracks. Glad we stayed there.

Beautiful scenery, staff were lovely and attentive. Really enjoyed the privacy that you get in and around accommodation. Additionally it had extra features that made the stay more comfortable.

Was further out from Arthur’s Pass town than I thought but was lovely and quiet. Villa was well equipped, very clean and spacious. View was serene. We were a little surprised the restaurant was not serving food between 3 and 5 due to a prior booking, especially as we could not book in until after 3, but we fortunately had snacks with us. Spa is only available if booking villa 1.

The room was well appointed, clean, comfy. Lovely view out to the river. The team did a great job making us feel welcome. They even booked a table in advance for us for dinner which is a good thought so we don’t miss out if the restaurant is full. The continental breakfast was good too, they even packet the night before for us to have in our room since we were leaving early the next morning. Nothing negative to say. Great value for money. I would stay again.

The bathroom sink is poorly designed especially with the very tall tap that reduces access to a very small sink resulting in splashing water onto the floor.

This was a journey break going from Punakaiki to Akaroa so it was only one night. We did the Devils Punchbowl at Arthur’s Pass before checking in and then the next day we did the Cave Stream Scenic Reserve (note: lambing has shut the stream exit from the cave Nov to Feb but continue around the path system to where the river flows into the cave system and you can get some great pictures without going in). Back to the hotel - very friendly staff, simple menu for dinner and our lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. (Say hello to the Moa’s)
