Lovely hostel in convenient location

I was very happy with my stay at Peking International Youth Hostel. The rooms were very comfortable, the hostel was very clean and the ladies at reception were very helpful. They assisted me with booking a driver for the Great Wall and were able to answer a few stupid questions for me. The hutong the hostel is located on is really popular so it's almost always bustling. Plenty of food and drink options on the main street but make sure you venture out into the side streets for less crowded options. Hostel is very close to a subway station as well which was very convenient for getting around Beijing. Have run into a few people who stayed here at different times to me and all were happy with their experience. Would recommend to friends.

In the middle of the action

Stayed in a private room with a window (that opens!) and private bathroom. Everything was great. Relatively quiet, open-air rooftop cafe, and you can't beat the location. We plan to stay here again.

Nice place but a bit pricy for what you get. Mattresses very hard. No wifi in the rooms. Staff extremely nicz and helpful and fluent in English.

Travel with kids.

We had a great time in Beijing. Peking Hostal was perfect for our needs. I was with my 2 kids. The hostal was located on the edge of a great hutong very close to public transportation,as well as walking distance to the lama temple,the bell and drum tower. The hostel was clean and comfortable aside from our bath had a horrible sewer smell. The staff attempted to remedy but had no success. We were in room 101, I would avoid this room.

gutes Personal, gemütliches Café

Das Hostel ist eher klein und liegt mitten in einem Hutong mit vielen Geschäften und Restaurants. Das Personal spricht englisch und ist sehr freundlich (was in China leider eher selten ist...). Alles ist sehr sauber. Auch das dazugehörige Café ist gut, auch wenn da wenig Englisch gesprochen wird.

フロントでは英語が通じ、スタッフも親切。5-10人くらいの相部屋で、鍵付きロッカーを割り当てられる。更衣室がないため多少シャワー室を使いにくいが、ビニール袋などを持参して中で着替えればよいと思う。

立地・価格・英語の三拍子が揃ったユースホステル。

　ほぼ全員のスタッフがきれいな英語を話すので、コミュニケーションをとりやすかった。フロントでは、飲み物や切手を良心的な価格で売っていたのが好印象。シャンプーや石鹸も売っている。また、ツアーや京劇の申し込みもできる。　 　最大5人が入れる部屋を2人で使うので、圧迫感は少ない。駅から近く、駅には2路線が乗り入れているので移動にも便利。宿の周辺は有名な観光スポットであり、お土産や食事にも困らない。ロビーではWi-Fiやパソコン、お湯が無料で使える。 　ただ、スーパーやコンビニの類は近くにはないので注意。また、部屋の電気はあまり明るくない。これは夜に同室の人が電気をつけても明るくなり過ぎないようにという配慮かなと思ったが、気になる人はいるかもしれない。卓上ランプはある。 　 　運が良ければ同室の人とも仲良くなれるのは普通のホテルにはない魅力だ。

古民家を改装したショップやレストランが多い南鑼鼓巷の一角にあるユースホステルです。フロントには英会話が流暢な若い女性が何人か詰めており、色んなリクエストに親切に対応してくれます。小さい宿ながら、万里の長城（金山嶺・慕田峪など）などのツアーも手配してくれます。東南アジアや欧米でバックパッカーの経験のある人なら、中国への第一歩としてちょうど良いでしょう。

Nice hostel in tourist attraction

Great location, close to metro station. Nice and lovely cafe and rest area in the hostel. Hot and cold drinking water available in the lobby. Hair dryers and sinks available in the hallway. Locker in the room, provided with lock and key. Bathroom is clean. Overall, the atomosphere is warm and convenient to downtown.
