"The room felt more like a serviced apartment than a regular hotel room. It had a full kitchen and a large bathroom with the toilet and washbasin in the same room.
There were two air conditioners, but both were located around the kitchen area. Because of that, it was actually quite difficult for the cool air to reach the bedroom properly.
Another issue was that almost everything was in Chinese, including the washing machine, air conditioner control panel and even the bathroom exhaust remote. It was difficult for us to figure out how to use some of these things. The washing machine was a washer-dryer combo, which was convenient, but our clothes came out very wrinkled after drying.
There was also a funny misunderstanding when we asked the front desk for an ironing box. They sent us a locker/safe box instead! Later I connected with the concierge manager, Zhou, who spoke English and was extremely helpful throughout our stay.
Since we had to leave very early the next morning, Zhou arranged packed breakfast for us, which we really appreciated.
The breakfast area was large and had an excellent selection of both Western and Chinese food. They also served dinner in the same restaurant, and there was a separate bar, which was a nice addition.
Overall, there were a few things with the room that could have been better, but the service from Zhou made a big difference for us. Thank you, Zhou, for all your help."
