A bit “La Bohème meets Birkenstock”. Cute, artsy, but falling apart at the seams, sometimes ill-conceived but with good intentions. The staff was very sweet and helpful, the breakfast was good and plentyful. Nice conversations with perfect strangers from around the world (and beyond??? ;-)). All in all, very enjoyable.

The hotel is wonderful. The staff are amazing. The cafe is great, with free breakfast and really good food that can be purchased later on. There is always a vegetarian special. And guests are welcome to sit and work our read or play games without feeling 'in the way.' The rooms are clean and have air conditioning. And there is a water fountain with as much clean water as you want. The location on the stairs is great as it is possible to walk to museums, restaurants, shops, and sites. I would highly recommend staying at The Grand Meshmosh Hotel!! 💓

La propiedad no es un hotel habitual, tiene características de un hostal juvenil pero, recibe todo tipo de turismo y edades, se encuentra en un lugar muy conveniente y excelentemente bien ubicado, no es lujoso, tampoco moderno, es modesto pero cumple bastante bien con las expectativas, tiene un excelente desayuno y bar. la atención de la gente encargada, es inmejorable. Très bon rapport qualité/prix pour un hôtel en plein Beyrouth. Chambre climatisée (sans bruit).Ne paye pas de mine mais suffisant pour qui veut seulement dormir. Très bonne literie. Sanitaires communs (pour la formule) mais toujours très propres. Enfin accueil hyper sympa. Très convivial. Parlent très bien le français. La bonne formule pour dormir pas cher à Beyrouth dans de bonnes conditions.

Not recommended

Hotel often praise their breakfast which needs to last until 10:30. But after 10:00 you cannot find anything for breakfast. Coffee also finishes and you need to wait 15 min for it. The guy who is supposed to serve breakfast was also rude. Please also beware most of the bedrooms have shared bathroom.

The hotel was ok for us. But there were some issues which should be taken care of: The room and our bathroom in the room was not so clean. I think the hotel is not working with professionals for cleaning. The breakfast was very weak. Normally the breakfast ends at 10:30am but there remains almost nothing after 10. The staff doesn’t refill the tables in the buffet. The staff were very friendly and nice, except one person: the young guy, short-haired and with many tattoos. We thought that he hates working there. He didn’t want to do anything. During breakfast, he hardly gives new plates or refills the coffee machine or teapot. If these issues are fixed, I think it would become a much nicer hotel/hostel. The neighborhood, the stairs where the hotel is located are great. You feel Beirut inside.

Hotel Meshmosh

Friendly staff, excellent location in Beirut. No lift so a bit of a climb to the 3rd floor. Frequent powercuts during our stay which caused a bit of disruption, but seems to be common in the city at the moment. More accurately described as a hostel than a Grand Hotel, but perfectly acceptable for a short break.

الاستقبال ممتاز وموظفين يجعلوك تشعر بالراحة الاوتيل جيد لكن اذا اغلق باب بأي طابق تسمعه في جميع الغرف ويجب ان يكون مخدم اكثر من ناحية الكهرباء ومن ناحية الامان لا تستطيع قفل الغرفة من الداخل اذا كان لدى اي شخص مفتاح يستطيع فتح الباب عليك يجب ان يكون هناك قفل اخر من الداخل ولكن الاوتيل بشكل عام جيد وسوف اعيد التجربة
