“I booked to stay in this hotel to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary with the kids. They are excited that they will get to swim after a long time. But then when we arrived, the receptionist told us the pool is closed and is under renovation. Didn’t even offer us anything except asking us to go to a public pool instead. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against going to the public pool, but what’s the point of booking to stay in their hotel to let the kids enjoy it. But it’s all……

“Bathroom door could use replacing, it was an effort to close it securely. The self-moistening toilet cycled for nearly an hour after flushing and was quite loud. Our room came with a complementary bottle of wine corked with no bottle opener provided. We called reception for a bottle opener and it took an hour to arrive, similarly for towels. Complementary breakfast was good but also a little lacklustre, very meat and potatoes. The stay was otherwise very clean, quiet, friendly staff. A short……
