Great Set Up for Big Families
We had a great time staying at the tree house. We have 7 kids. The room with the bunkbeds has an extra trundle bed, so 5 of them could fit comfortably in one room. We had all of our meals at the cabin. The kitchen is set up well for cooking. Everyone enjoyed the tv /game room with the pool table. Finally, thanks to our host Joe for going the extra mile to make sure we could swim at the Lakeview hotel. He was very responsive whenever I texted a question. One tip - bring extra towels to swim. Lakeview hotel (which you have access to through the condo association) no longer provides towels at the pool itself. Thanks again!!!

Peaceful stay at the Tree House
The Tree house was exactly as described. It was extremely clean and felt so cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed that the kitchen was open to the dining/living room. The view from the huge windows overlooking the deck was beautiful and peaceful. You truly felt you were up in the trees! The communication with our hosts before arriving was very clear and helpful. We didn’t need to reach out during our stay because everything was wonderful! We’d love to return perhaps in the fall when the leaves are all changing colors. 😊 Thanks for a great stay!

Ski Weekend at Schuss
Beautiful ski cabin in the woods, right on the shanty creek property. Large enough for a big family, but cozy enough for a small group. Open floor plan with retro fireplace. Game room in lower level with pool table and old-school Atari!! Five minute drive to Schuss, Summit and Short's Brewery. We will be back next year.

Love this place
This was the second time we stayed in this house. Only issue was a problem with the mini-split heaters but backup baseboard heaters did the job. Will stay there again.

The property and amenities were ok...
The house itself was decent and clean but was very poorly lit. Being there in the dark fall/winter months, any time I entered a room I tried to turn on more lights but there weren't any more to turn on. (Several of the lights would strobe so you'd have to keep them off). When I asked the owner about it, he said it was an old house and that is just the way it is. Since we were there around Thanksgiving. All of the activities at the resort were shut down, including one of the indoor pools. That was a bummer and I wish date ranges for activities would have been in the description for the property. Probably would not stay here again.

This is disappointing to hear Paul. We're really sorry about the amenities being closed - we don't have any affiliation with Shanty Creek and it would be impossible to know the operating hours for each of thier activities. I appreciate the heads up about the lighting. This is feedback we've never gotten before, but we will certainly look into the situation and get a couple of lighting fixtures updated if need be. Amazing property and great communication with hosts!
Incredible experience staying at your gorgeous chalet! We visited in the fall and felt like we were truly living amongst the trees! The place was immaculately clean and had all needed amenities! Loved cozying up in the evenings with the fireplace and looking out at the fall colors surrounding us! Thank you!!

Bellaire Stay
My husband and I had a very nice stay at this Bellaire chalet. It was exactly as described and as the pictures depicted. It was a central location for a trip to Traverse City one day and Boyne City another day which was especially beautiful with the fall colors. The house was comfortable and homey.

Charming and Magical
My childhood friends and I plan an annual girls trip each year, always picking something different somewhere in Michigan. We’re in our 30’s now and take this weekend very seriously. I’m not sure that we will pick a different location next year, we loved this beautiful cozy cabin so much! To begin, Joe is absolutely amazing. He is incredibly welcoming and has really ironed out every detail you would need to have an unforgettable trip. He is a great communicator and makes himself available should you need anything. Although we did not need to reach out to him, because everything was already so organized and well communicated, I am confident that had we needed to, he would be there. The cabin was perfect. It’s designed to actually feel like you’re in a Northern MI ski lodge but still offers beautiful modern amenities. Cleanliness was a 10/10 too, and with a house full of ladies, we would have noticed otherwise. The surrounding area has so much to offer! Cute shops, and a perfect downtown area. Restaurant choices were great too! If you want something quick like fast food, those options are there. However, I recommend taking advantage of all the other restaurants that are in the area. We ate at Shanty Creek Bar and Grill which was very small but very impressive. We also visited Shorts, and were so impressed. This truly was a great stay. We wish we would have booked for at least a day or two longer.

Tree house
It was a little hard to find because my GPS had me going in circles. Once you do find it, it’s like a hidden gem. Very cosy, big and spacious. It was close to where we was going on torch lake. We spent a lot of time on the back patio with the fire pit. Played games and just enjoyed our time. It was very quiet. Everyone loved the house and enjoyed our time.

Outstanding Experience
We were able to book a short stay during Spring Break. Description and reviews were spot on! Communication with owner was fast, and helpful if we had any questions. The cleanest vacation place we have ever stayed at. Offered all the necessary conveniences and supplies:) From a fully stocked kitchen with coffee pot, pans, dishes, glassware, cooking utensils and appliances, to a variety of games, blankets, a wonderful pool table to play. I have a little reservation about coming in April. This is a ski resort/ golf paradise when season are in place, but we were between seasons and wasn't sure if there would be much to do, but there was. We were able to relax inside, grill out on the porch, takes walks, eat at nearby restaurants, shop, and do some sightseeing. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, and plan to return again! Thank you for a wonderful experience:)

Lost in the forest
Ground floor entrance was the ultimate man cave. With a master bedroom and bunks for the kids. Upper level master bedroom, kitchen outdoor desk with a clean gas grill. Grandparents traveling with our children and their children. They had their own private space, lower level, and we had the upper. Very clean residence and quiet neighborhood. Haven't slept so well in quite a long time. On the deck, s'mores for the children and wine for the rest of us. Highly recommend.

Very nice, 2 good size living areas, 2 full bathrooms. Adult children enjoyed pool table. Ate dinners in - kitchen was adequate. I usually bring my own disposables for kitchen (foil, baggies, cling wrap) - which we used here. Any missing supplies- grocery store 10 minutes away. Enjoyed many hikes, lake hoping and card games. Best day was a kayak/paddle boards on torch lake. Access to community heated pool was a plus.

Trip to Bellaire
A great choice for visiting Bellaire. The cabin is on a quiet, private street and surrounded by trees. The owners are very well prepared and make a real effort to ensure their guests have a good stay. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

Adult family of 6, ages 24 to 70 with dogs.
The cabin was clean and very nice. Each room has it's own air conditioning and heat thermostat. Plenty of room for all of us to sit together in the sitting areas or around the big table for a meal. Loved the outdoor fire pit on the deck. We blocked off the end of the deck and our dogs could go out freely which was really nice. We went in May before memorial day, so not all was open, but we enjoyed that indoor pool. The area has so many beautiful hiking trails and lakes. If you go, we recommend visiting Elk Rapids and the day park art walk. It is a beautiful, natural walk through wooded and beach areas that has sculptures made from recycled materials.as well as a sandy beach to swim and picnic tables for lunch. Would like to come back in summer and enjoy all the beautiful, clear water lakes that are close by and rent some kayaks.

The Tree House was a great base camp for our adventures in the upper part of the lower peninsula of MI. We enjoyed the stay immensely. We formerly lived in a resort community like this in WI and it was very similar...but better!

Myself and three other friends really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We were celebrating a friend’s soon coming marriage and really enjoyed our time in the north of Michigan, went for some mountain biking, enjoyed the beautiful woods and scenery and enjoyed some good times together at the cabin.

Fantastic Little Getaway
My husband and i stayed at The Treehouse with our three boys ages 7, 10, &12, and our two dogs. We had a great time! The house is cozy and inviting. We all had plenty of room where we didn't feel on top of each other. We skied at Shanty Creek and Boyne Mountain and spent a few hours at one of the pools we had access to. There was a snowstorm on the day of our arrival which completely blocked the road up to the house. We contacted the host who was super accommodating and friendly and he had someone come out to plow while we grabbed dinner in town. The lower level was perfect for the boys, they had their own little sitting area with a TV, pool table, and a few games. The only tiny issue we had was with the sliding doors to the deck, the lock isn't strong and we worried we might either get locked out or that it might not lock at all. We loved our stay and would definitely stay at this property again in the future!

Fantastic, superb, excellent experience!
The property exceeded expectations. Incredibly clean, well stocked with games, TVs, beds, linens; everything you could possibly need. The location, floorplan, comfort was outstanding. The wifi and owner's book of recommended places to eat, things to do was spot-on. The owner was extremely prompt in communication once the house was booked, and everything was prepared as well as it could be. Overall, our family of four would highly recommend this property to anybody looking to take advantage of one of the best overall areas in the state of Michigan.

Great for skiers- cross country and downhill

Wonderful family weekend

Big Hug!!!
This the CLEANEST home I have ever stayed in!!!!! I just wanted to get that out there right away! This house is a Big Hug!!! It's comfortable from the moment you walk in! We had the 3 grandkids with us and they had the best time playing pool, games and video games. It was an Atari but my 9 year old grandson Loved it! Love the huge windows and it was just incredible to stand on the deck and be apart of the woods, Love the fireplace! we used it, it was great! warmth while we watched a movie and cuddled on the comfy leather couches> Great size dinner table! It can easily seat 10 people! they have definitely made this very family friendly! O.K. lets talk about the power beds in the bedrooms. LOVE it!! Being able to raise the bed up to read or watch TV was a very welcome surprise and my daughter and I found a reason to use it multiple times every day! We felt very comfortable at this home and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect!
We stayed at this property for 5 days (Monday-Friday) to celebrate our 21st Anniversary. The house was very clean and well maintained. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen with quality knives, cookware and dishes. There were lots of extra blankets, towels, dish towels and washcloths! In addition, having hand soap, dish soap, paper towels and toilet paper already on site was great! We visited Torch Lake, Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes - all within a short drive of this property. The location and neighborhood are just perfect! Thank you, we hope to stay again! Fall getaway
Finding a vacation getaway that allows our furry friends can be difficult. However the brothers allowed both our well behaved, non shedding dogs to stay with us. The list of recommended restaurants they include in their check in info is a great resource however be sure to phone before going as they close on days they are supposed to be open. We would book again soon if we didn’t live in Washington State! ! Clean, and super private and quiet!

Awesome retreat for the family!
Though the weather wasn’t great, we had plenty to do. Thank goodness for the inside pool and pool table. The hosts were attentive and the house was immaculate. We plan to make it back in the Summer so we can enjoy the beautiful lakes that surround this property .

UP NORTH IN THE TREES
We loved the deck in the trees, perfect place to relax. In the evening the ladies enjoyed a friendly game of pool and during the day card games and traveling into town for lunch. This was a great place for a family getaway.

Golf, Beach, and Kayaking
This property is well maintained and beautiful inside and out. Good location on the property. Very “woodsy” and quiet. Very clean and well equipped with everything you need. The only negative was no dishwasher, so you have to wash dishes by hand. Not a deal breaker. Kids loved the bunk room and downstairs area with the pool table and TV with old school Atari system. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Relaxing Treehouse
This place was amazing! We had six people in our party and everyone was very comfortable. It rained on one of the days, but there was plenty to do with the pool table, all the games, and even just sitting on the deck watching the rain - literally forest bathing. I would definitely rent this place again!

Best place! Pool table, ATARI(!), tasteful and homelike
We fully enjoyed our stay. The view at the resort pool at Summit/Lakeview was amazing! We had 4 adults, and 3 teens. We had fun playing pool together, and introducing our 15 year old gamer to the Atari 2600 games. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well appointed, the deck was great for meals and relaxing with morning or evening beverages. Loved our stay here!

Highly recommend
This rustic “treehouse” was beautifully located In amongst massive trees that provided such a wonderful sense of privacy yet close to grocery store, small unique restaurants and vineyards. Relatively short distance to either Lake Bellair or Torch Lake . Other than lacking a dishwasher (which we didn’t mind), the house was extremely clean and well stocked with necessary amenities. Extremely pleased with comfortable (and remote/adjustable) beds, quality bath towels and three showerheads in lower level bathroom. Highlight was grilling/eating evening meal on the wraparound deck up in the trees and an evening fire in the outdoor fireplace. Overall a great experience - Wish we could’ve stayed for a few more days. FYI - Had we come a couple of weeks later, we would’ve been able to take advantage of cherry picking at the massive and beautiful cherry orchards nearby .

Relaxing and Comfortable
We enjoyed our house very much. We were able to relax on the comfortable couches, watch TV, cook a meal, do laundry, and sleep comfortably in an air conditioned home. The keyless entry was very convenient as well. We would stay here again. Thank you.

First time to Michigan
We loved our stay at the Chalet! Everything was super clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool and the local restaurants. The owners were very helpful and kind. We definitely want to come back again soon!

Great property
We stayed with 3 adults and 2 children. Great house with adequate parking for at least 4 vehicles. Beds were comfy, each room has it's own temperature control, the bathrooms are nicely remodeled. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and dishes/silverware. House well stocked with soaps, paper towels, toilet paper and towels. Nice deck provided relaxing evenings by the firepit. The downstairs game room was nice with a pool table. We stayed at the very beginning of June so it was a little too chilly for lake swimming but we visited the indoor pool at The Lakeview Hotel at Shanty Creek Resort (which the owners have a pool pass to). The indoor pool was really clean and had a pool lift. Only downside is the hotel did not have indoor handicap access to the pool, only outdoor access which required you to walk all the way around the hotel. Just something to be aware of. The property is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Bellaire. A few shops to shop at. The Corner Bistro provided a yummy lunch with patio seating. Shorts Brewery, Mammoth Distillery and Bee Well Mead & Cider were also downtown Bellaire. There is no dishwasher but this was something we didn't mind.

Wonderful!
Our stay was wonderful, we day-tripped over to the dunes and Torch Lake, took walks in the neighborhood and downtown. Very quiet, little place. We loved our stay!

A true treehouse
We loved our stay at the Treehouse! The home is beautiful and very comfortable for our group. The deck is a perfect place to lounge any time of the day. We will definitely be back.

struck gold
We booked this listing while seeking a getaway to relax and struck gold! It is situated beautifully in a quiet, wooded setting. With bedrooms on 2 floors we all had privacy. The location was convenient for Northern MI exploration. The hosts were available easily abd helpful. Very clean, modern, and unique. We loved it!
