Welcome to Sanctuary at Sudendorf, your family’s perfect Northern Michigan getaway! Nestled in the peaceful Sudendorf complex at Shanty Creek Resort, this spacious condo is ideal for two families or one larger family looking to relax, reconnect, and enjoy all that Schuss Mountain and Bellaire have to offer.

The main floor features a comfortable king bedroom with TV, a full bath, and a cozy living room with fireplace — perfect for gathering after a day on the slopes or the golf course. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for easy family meals. Upstairs, you’ll find a bedroom with two full beds and another full bath, plus a third bedroom with a full bed and its own kitchenette — giving kids or a second family their own private space.

Guests love how clean, spacious, and comfortable the condo is, with plenty of room for everyone and comfy beds for a great night’s sleep. Families especially enjoy the heated outdoor pool just across the parking lot, perfect for summer fun!

The location can’t be beat — just three minutes to Schuss Mountain slopes and golf, a short drive to Torch Lake and Lake Bellaire for boating and fishing, and close to Bellaire’s restaurants and shops. Guests consistently praise the excellent communication, easy check-in/out, and peaceful setting that make every stay a breeze.

Not ready

We arrived at 4pm and condo had not been cleaned. Called manager and they came over within an hour. Beds very uncomfortable. Carpets needed to be cleaned or replaced. Air conditioner in upper bedroom did not work, had sign on it stating “does not work”. Would not stay in this unit again.

I enjoyed my weekend at the condo however, the upstairs bedroom air conditioner was broken - which had been broken for sometime & the pullout bed upstairs was Old & looked very dirty-which was Not Used! I believe the description stated that there was a futon rather than a pull out. I would suggest some new improvements. Anyway for the weekend it was Ok, and we were excited to be in Northern Mi.

Great place

Had a wonderful stay but one of the bedrooms AC units did not work and actually had a strong burning odor when turned on. It made for whoever stayed in that room to be very uncomfortable. The pool was amazing and clean. Very enjoyable.

Condo on a golf course

Not what we were expecting. Residence was older and there were things that were broken or falling apart. The cable upstairs did not work and it was like 2 separate apartments made into 1. We enjoyed staying after we got there, but I don’t know if I would return.

Sledding getaway!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. It is centrally located great lay out and in the middle of all the activities shanty creek has to offer.

The property manager was great to work with. She always replied quickly to my questions. The condo was good for 3 families to stay in. I love that it's super close to Schuss Mountain for some skiing fun.

Nice but needs a few updated touches

The property says pots and pans, one of the pots was burnt so bad when I was making Mac and cheese for my kids black pieces of the pot were floating in the food. The place also said you could use a grill but there was to much snow on the back deck couldn’t get to the grill. The neighbors were loud and rude, knock on our door asking for condoms???? Found trash under beds and behind curtains. Besides that it did the job had comfty beds and internet.

Great Place for Families

Everything was very clean and just as described. PERFECT for a family with little ones as the upper level has a child lock to keep them safe from wandering downstairs if they wake in the night. Wonderful for our family of seven. We really wished we had paid more attention to the specifics as we really could've used a washer and dryer and didnt realize there wasnt one. But we had a great experience and highly recommend.

We had rented the condo for 3 nights. We ended up leaving sat morning due to my niece waking up ate up from head to toe with bed bug bites. I tried to call the property manager and left a email. Which she later replied and called me a liar even though I sent her pictures. We will not ever be back.

Great location, but the property needs some updates. The water heater was way too small. The water was cold after the 1st shower. The grill was not cleaned, and it was a portable grill. It was definitely not big enough for a large family. The listing did not say it was a portable grill. We liked the 2 kitchens and the size of the bedrooms, be would not rent this place again.

Clean, conveniently located, overall phenomenal stay

We stayed at the property with our five children. The location is very close, 2-3 minutes drive to the Schuss Mountain slopes. The condo was well unkept and clean with a working wood fireplace. Abundant fire wood supply is provided. The owner always promptly responded to our questions and generously agreed to our later departure. We had a wonderful time. We hope to stay there again.
