“Cohune Palms is just what we were hoping for. The property is really lovingly maintained. The staff are really warm and accommodating- Ms. Nellie's cooking was just perfect after long days of tours! The cabins are not posh but not supposed to be- and it was HOT in there, we ended up asking for additional fans in the evening- but they were clean, and had everything we needed. “This was our first trip to San Ignacio and we weren’t sure what to expect. There were 7 of us ranging in age from 11 to 46. Here is what we liked and disliked:Pros: Plenty of space and beds/bedrooms, 2 living rooms with couches to hang out together. We didn’t do any cooking, but there is a large kitchen and dining area. Price was great. WiFi worked great throughout the house. There is a gated (doesn’t lock) driveway in front of the house. It’s at a difficult angle but plenty of space to park 1……

“We booked The Babette for my brother’s family of 6 and me. We were so happy with the spacious, large, and clean accommodations. I stayed upstairs and had the king bed/bathroom and access to both patios. My brother and his wife stayed in the room with the Queen bed (bathroom attached as well) and all four of my nephews staying in the room with two queen beds. There was water for us to drink, with a spare 5 gallon container and plenty of dishes to use (no dishwasher) for any food you want to make……

“This was the adventure we were hoping for! We visited with our teens (14 and 16). It is such a beautiful location and we really enjoyed seeing wildlife up close! We saw agouti, river otters, howler monkeys, bats, toucans, and several other beautiful birds during our stay. The rope swing and being able to get in the river was very nice. Mike and the ladies at Cohune are so nice! Mike is very knowledgeable about the area and is happy to share. The food was also amazing! Highly recommend breakfast……

“Mike and Melanie make you feel part of the family. They always make sure you are having a good time and are willing to help make your experience better. The tranquil setting of the jungle cabanas was exactly what we wanted for our honeymoon. “The check in was easy. We appreciated the fenced yard as we had children with us so it made us feel a smidge safer. Easy to get to the best parts of town like the highway and the market. We were there for a short time so we did not get to use the kitchen amenities but we appreciated all the things they had that we could use.”

“it was listed with Wifi/Internet but no internet. Its a false advertisement. Contacted the owner about the internet who said he would fix it but it never happened. I guess he never paid for the internet service in the first place.I contacted the owner the day before we arrived. He said he would have the house cleaned and let the cleaning lady know. We showed up, the key wasnt in the lock box as supposed to. Called the cleaning lady, she said the owner never told her about guest's arrival so she……
