On arrival at the apartments we had to tailgate a resident through the security gate, and had to guess where the apartment was. Neither the owner nor Owners Direct had responded to us on how to access the property, we even phoned the owner, left a voicemail and they didn't bother to respond. We eventually found the apartment block which is currently in the middle of a major external refurbishment, again we had not been made aware. We knocked on the door and a Spanish lady was inside (we think waiting for us), she spoke no English, so our poor knowledge of Spanish made it a little difficult to converse. The apartment itself is large, well furnished and equipped, allbeit a little dated. 2 twin bedrooms with a shared bathroom, a separate double bedroom and a small shower room off the kitchen! Large lounge and dining area and additional in the comprehensive kitchen (even a kettle!) a closed in balcony with an extra bed settee on it. It was quiet inside the apartment and because we were there over the weekend, the builders were absent but there were bags of sand and cement everywhere, even in the fire escape. Let's hope theymake a good job of the refurbishment. Most dissapointed with the response of Owners Direct who state it's not their responsibility to advise you that the property is undergoing a major external refurbishment and so will be subject to noise, dust and dirt.
