Relaxing Family Stay

Very relaxing family stay. House was very comfortable for a family of 7 (6 adults, 1 infant). Lots of stuff to do on the property and close by. House had plenty of games both in the garage and in the main house. House also had everything we needed for our infant (2 cribs, and a highchair).

Cozy Country House

Property is just as pictured. The house is newly updated and extremely clean. The kids loved the big yard and “arcade” in the garage. The location is central to Gettysburg, Luray Caverns, and Harpers Ferry.

Amazing Property!

This is an amazing property to stay at when you just want to get away! Very clean, well stocked and the beds are super comfy! The garage is amazing with all the games and the tv. Plenty of firewood to have fires too! We are making this our yearly getaway! Thank you, Heather for being a wonderful property owner!

Property was as advertised in the photos. Actually, it was better. Enjoyed some new hanging chairs in the enclosed porch. The garage game room is party central. Although it was just the wife, myself, and the dog... so we weren't out there as much as a larger group might be. A few families staying here could be easily entertained with the axe throwing, buck hunter, and ping pong tables. The whole house is very modern and everything was in good working order. Owner is readily available and easy to converse with. She wants you to have a good time enjoying the property. 15 minutes or less to Berkeley Springs and Cacapon State Park. I rate the place a 12 out of 10.

Relaxing Spot for a Quick Getaway

Heather's property was a nice, quiet home base for my wife and I to explore the area. The house was well appointed and comfortable to be in. Plenty of space on the grounds for the dogs to run around and splash in the creek. There were some minor maintenance issues that Heather was quick to respond to and resolve.

Great Stay in West Virginia

We were out for an easy 2 day vacation not too far from home and discovered this gem of a house in West Virginia. Everything inside was spotless and the three rooms were perfect for our family of 4. The kids really loved the game room and we managed to spend two hours in the creek looking for crawfish. The house is about a 10 minute drive to downtown Berkeley Springs. We spent most of our time buying food from the Food Lion and a farm market around the corner. Cacapon State Park is about a 10 minute drive. The park has fishing, swimming, boating, hiking and Mountain Biking. It was perfect! We loved the house and my 11 year old already says he wants to go back.

The cutest little backyard & stream you'll ever see

This place is a 5/5 stars and the host is SO attentive. We had a family of 6 adults there for Christmas (& dogs) and it was just the best environment for us all to celebrate the holidays AND host Christmas dinner (everything we needed was there!). The host went out of their way to decorate too & have a tree ready for us.I'm going to just share some things to be mindful of, depending on the size/age of your family that might be helpful to future renters (neither good nor bad, just things to be aware of!).1) If you have small kids or dogs, this house is right on a back country road. It's a surprisingly busy street so just watch your dogs/kids when outside. It's also got a neighboring home connected via the driveway so it's not an "isolated" location.2) The downstairs of the house is small. The living room/TV area did not fit 6 adults easily and it was not a full-sized couch (a little uncomfortable for 6 adults). If you have young kids, this is a perfect spot. However, if you stay during the summer months, their 3 season room / garage game room would have been the PERFECT spot to spread out, but we went in the winter and those spots were too cold to use (you'll love spring-fall here with a big family!)3) My husband is tall & the upstairs beds were too small for him. They also were on metal frames that squeaked when you turned over. The main downstairs bedroom is AMAZING though so it depends on who's sleeping upstairs. Kids will love it!It's a great place! Enjoy!

The stay was wonderful, but too short. The only glitch was the access code was wrong for the front door, but Heather responded within 2 minutes.
