Perfect place to host our annual family holiday gathering close to all the spa amenities of Berkeley Springs. Fully stocked kitchen and cozy sleeping configurations to appease everyone in our group. Thanks for a lovely stay!
We had the best time relaxing, antiquing, and shopping. Loved the house and its old charm. Very quiet area. Good place to go and just unwind. We definitely would stay again
We had our immediate family over for a wedding ceremony on this spectacular porch, and the views and atmosphere were just perfect. My parents and neighbors loved staying at the house.
We loved our stay at the Manor! It was ao close to town that we could walk there but still felt private. We loved all the special touches around the house.
We all enjoyed the property. Well located and beautiful. Very tastefully decorated and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Hope to visit again and will definitely return to this property!
Our Women Ministry from the church needed a place to refresh, retreat, re-wire -- away from the city and its noise. This place was so wonderful, calm and so welcome. Everyone loved and wanted to return. It's now our #1 on the list. The owners were so wonderful, communicated, emailed, called, very responsive. Thank you. We will be back again!
Great 1870's manor house, big rooms, high ceilings, surrounded by greenery. Two blocks from downtown Berkeley Springs. Perfect for a large family stay, which was our case. We are eager to return.,
Prosperity is fabulous. It was our second time staying here and we all can’t wait to come back. Great location for enjoying the town. We love the porch to relax in the evening. Only wish there was a porch swing!
The management company was very communicative and helpful. This beautiful old house is roomy, well furnished, and full of character. It was very clean and in a convenient location. It's a perfect place for a girls' spa weekend.
The property was just as it was listed. There was plenty of space for 6 adults. Kitchen was well furnished. Rental company was very helpful and the owner responded quickly to fix the only problem we had (internet). We enjoyed the uniqueness of the home.
We are five friends who have a getaway weekend every fall. The house is in a perfect location for walking to the spas and the shops. The beds are comfortable. The sofas are not. Nonetheless, we loved our stay.
This is a lovely property. It is conveniently located in Berkeley Springs within easy walking distance of downtown attractions. The Manor very comfortably accommodated 6 family members visiting for a family gathering.
The only downside to the property is that the while there are multiple bathrooms, the upstairs showers are problematic - water pressure is a significant challenge.
It is an otherwise lovely rental property.
7 cousins met for a weekend reunion in Berkeley springs and the manor was the perfect location for us. Lots of room to spread out, a beautiful porch to spend the afternoons getting caught up, and we could walk to town. The house was well equipped - the kitchen had everything we needed, there were lots of towels, we never ran out of hot water, the beds were comfortable. Berkeley Springs is a fun town and we enjoyed the Roman Bath, shopping and dining out. If we find ourselves back in the area we will definitely book the manor again!
We found the property to be very quiet, yet readily accessible to the town center. The house itself was marvelous, tastefully decorated with appropriate furnishings, and with a modern kitchen. We especially enjoyed both porches, particularly on one dark and lightning-filled night. The property provided us with the rest that we all needed after such a dreadful past year, while rekindling our friendships with frank conversation and good-natured laughter.
The Manor was perfect for our group of 3 couples looking to get away to the woods to go hiking and spend a relaxed weekend strolling around the cute town of Berkeley Springs. The house is even larger than the photos reveal, and each section of the house is isolated enough that sound transmission even in an old home was almost non-existent. A couple of us could be watching TV in one room, playing games in the dining room, and cooking in the kitchen and couldn't hear each other, which for an historic house is amazing. We could walk half a block to the main street/the public outdoor Berkeley Spring area with pools of water and a creek. There was also plenty of parking, a huge front porch and ample cooking supplies. The property manager also responded instantaneously to my inquiries about the area, including great hike suggestions. I would highly recommend this beautiful historic home to anyone looking to get away.
We were a group of five 65+ women looking for a nice getaway for few days and certainly found it in the Manor. This house has been kept in great shape despite its age, and the decor is period. As it had been used as a b&b for a few years it had plenty of beautifully appointed bedrooms (we had one each) and some had their own sink. The two latger upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with a clawfoot tub and overhead shower. The other two upstairs slightly smaller rooms share a bathroom with a tipub and handheld shower. These also share a small sitting room. The fifth room is on the main level and is en-suite with walk-in shower. The kitchen is a nice size and there are a set of narrow stairs from there leading to one of the small bedrooms (in addition to the main stairs in the hallway. Downstairs there is a dining room and two large sitting rooms, one with a large screen tv. There is a small screened porch at the back and a beautiful wrap around porch at the front, overlooking wonderful gardens. We can’t wait to return! Downtown is a 5 minute walk downhill (sadly that means 5 mins uphill afterwards 😂! Pretty much everything is walkable. Check out Fairfax Coffee House, movie theatre, Country Inn (great happy hour and regular menu), Astasia Spa (Michelle is very good). Lots to see and do!
