I have rented many times in Ocean Pine and with VRBO and I have never left a bad review - ever. But this house was not in good shape and there was a known bug problem! The carpet and floors were very dirty, not like the cleaning crew forgot to show up before we arrive, the carpet had large stained areas and trash/debris on floors. Items left from past guest stay. Guest bathroom shower head was inoperable, we all had to share the master bath (which was carpeted - yuk and fan was loud but broken). The washer had sign on it to not leave it unattended as it sometimes doesn't turn off (is that safe?) House alarm system set so loud it was jarring whenever someone opened front door or door to screen porch. Most disturbing - there was a known ant problem. The remodeled kitchen was lovely but we could not leave food on the kitchen counters even for a few minutes and there were ant traps throughout the house (even near the beds - gross). We felt very uncomfortable eating and sleeping here. Guest in middle bedroom came home with bedbug bites on her torso and arms. We were not expecting a luxury property but based on the listing and photos we were expecting a clean house, with operable bathrooms & appliances. And definitely not a bug issue. Would not recommend.
