Activities nearby: The coastal seaside resort of Norddeich is only twelve kilometers away and can be reached quickly. The ferries to the East Frisian islands of Juist and Norderney start from here. Norddeich: Seals, gray seals, small whales and dolphins are nursed back to health here and released back into the North Sea. Norddeich is adjoined by Norden, the “oldest city in East Frisia” with several important churches and museums. The Berumerfehner Hochmoor with the "Eternal Sea", the largest raised moor lake in Germany with almost 90 hectares of water, is also interesting and varied. Our tip: Several well-known cycle routes such as the Frisian Mill Tour lead through the municipality of Hage.
