Family Vacation

Property was exactly as listed. We had a great time. The only problem was that when we checked in no one told us that the property had not been cleaned after the previous tenants. When we arrived, we spent the first two hours of our beach vacation cleaning floors, wiping counters, and figuring out the linens that were outside in a bin. Around 6:30 pm the doorbell wrang and it was the cleaning crew looking to clean the property after we had already been in for two hours. They claimed that they were extremely swamped and someone should have let us know. They touched up a few things and left. The property is perfect, just a little down fall with the cleaning and linen service, but we didn’t let it dampen our great vacation.

Nice House with Cleanliness Issues

This property was a cozy spot, but cleanliness issues were disappointing. Upon arrival we noticed the floor was quite dirty. We understand that a beach house is hard to keep clean; however, we didn't expect to have black feet after 30 mins of walking around barefoot. The property uses a linen service and several towels had stains and/or hairs inside when unfolded. There were several dirty dishes put away in the cabinets, including a citrus press that still had moldy lemon bits inside. The overall amenities within the kitchen were poor. The few pans there were extremely scratched and one was rusted through. Finally, the starter package of amenities was lacking - there were no extra garbage bags, and no soap or toilet paper in the first floor bathroom. I spoke with the property manager and, to their credit, they did attempt to address several of these issues. They offered to send the cleaning service back out, which we declined because we felt it would be disruptive to our stay. They also offered to provide additional linens; however, we had several extra and did not need replacements despite the issues. Finally, they stated that they would leave a note for the owner to better stock the kitchen. Overall, the property was nice. It is a 15 min walk to the beach; however, there aren’t sidewalks and you do cross Route 1, so it may not be best for groups with small children. Recommend bringing your own pan/casserole dish or doing takeout. Bring your own paper products/trash bags.

FAMILY VACATION 2022

This was our 5th year in a row at this house. We absolutely love it. It's always clean, cool and comfy. Spent most of the time on the big screened in patio playing games and enjoying adult beverages. Nice yard also for catching ball or throwing cornhole. Close enough to the beach for walking because parking at the beach can be hard to find an open parking spot. Beach is clean and not too crowded. Definitely looking forward to next year's vacation with the family. Will definitely be reserving this house again for the 6th year in a row

this property was older home but was in a great area .we could not walk to the beach .at times parking at the beach was difficult.this house was in great condition..housekeeping did a spectacular job of cleaning before are stay. could not have been happier with this property

Dated Beach house with some shortcomings

We have been staying in Bethany for over a decade and have stayed in many different places. First the positive. The house is within walking distance to Bethany Beach. It is truly .6 miles from the beach which is great. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. During our stay the roof leaked during rain storms, requiring us to contact Resortquest (Which were great) and have someone come out to repair the roof. We also said the screened in porch had the door screen half torn out and several holes in the screens in the porch. Which is the overall theme of this house. Items are dated in this house. Ceiling fans that are very old and noisy, some don't have covers for the lights. Amenities that are old - coffee makers, toasters etc. Couches that are old, chairs that are stained. The place just was not the cleanest on arrival nor did it feel clean (dirty walls etc). So expect what you pay for, as this is what you will get.

Excellent beach house

We had a great time. The house was very clean and it was very comfortable. It was spacious. There was one minor issue with the Wi-Fi and I made a call and before the day was out the Wi-Fi was fixed. Really really impressive. We love the place and we definitely would come back there
