The Bell Inn

"Our 2 night stay at The Bell was enjoyable. Our room and the en-suite was clean, well presented and quite comfortable although the mattress was showing some signs that it will soon need to be replaced! Breakfasts were delicious, well cooked, generously portioned and a good quality. Our one evening meal was equally good and felt home cooked - far superior to the more usual Green King pub fare we’ve had. On both evenings the 2 real ales on offer were excellent – CAMRA take note! Andy, the landlord was most helpful and certainly went out of his way to ensure our stay went smoothly. Other staff and Ducklington village locals were friendly and welcoming. Guests should be aware of the total absence of any on-site car parking and street parking is not that easy to find in this village."

"Amy was quick to respond & resolve an issue. Great landing pad for all the villages we traveled around to & visited. Como Lounge was a favorite, walkable spot for food or coffee. Great burgers! Highly recommend this rental. Had everything we needed."

"The room was clean, the bedside light kept blowing but they worked hard to rectify it every time. I did get bitten a lot which has never happened to me before but the cause was a mystery because my husband did not get bitten at all. The roman blinds in the room let it down as did the net curtains which were hung the wrong way on the windows so the strings were an eyesore. The coffee and tea making facilities were excellent. The bathroom needed more shelving. The location was amazing and an excellent place to use as a base for sight seeing further afield. We spent 3 nights and 2 days there and could have stayed longer. They employ some amazing staff. Enormous credit to them ."

"The hut was very clean and comfortable and suited the four of us perfectly. We also appreciated the fact that there were only two other huts in the field and there was space between them. Despite arriving quite late our hostess met us and made sure everything was ok. The swimming pond is a wonderful bonus and we would definitely return. Thank you!"

"Lots of lovely things to say about this property, location, comfort and fully equipped, however, Outdoor furniture was in poor state and a chair was so rotten it disintegrated when I sat on it and we also put another away as it was also rotting. We were advised not to sit on the furniture and the caretaker brought us a bottle of wine as way of an apology which was kind. I think that sort of thing should be considered before renting out fully furnished homes for indoor and outdoor use. Thankfully I was only bruised. I was not expecting the furniture to be replaced at short notice I understand these things take time. I do hope this is acknowledged for future holidaymakers."

"What a lovely cosy shepherd's hut in a quiet field with 2 other huts well spaced apart. I never heard any of the other guests. It was perfect as a little hideaway to relax after working in the area. Very clean."
