The room was clean but had no hand towels or wash rags, the coffee and tea supplies were not replenished on a regular basis. Housekeeping was supposed to be every two days never showed unless we asked, the hotel amenities need to be up graded. Beach view was excellent very relaxing. Breakfast was good but you do not have much of a choice as they were always out of many items.

There were mop streaks and shoe prints from the cleaner on the ground. There was no staff at the reception when we arrived. Security checked us in. Similarly the breakfast staff were always inside talking and we had to go find them. The breakfast was minimal though tasty. As for the beach view, you can see it when you have breakfast but not from the rooms. The hotel is generally run down and poor value for money. It also did not feel safe.

Major renovations needed at the facility . Leaking roof on the walk paths and lounge area with pools of water during rain fall , so there was no way to really enjoy the hotel common areas as we were a party of 3 .Slips and falls are at high risk . Rooms were clean ( bath room lacked sufficient towels ) . Check in and check out were hassle free. Breakfast was okay with an omelette station. Unless there’s some major changes / update / repairs to property I will not return.

Ehen we arrived the property appeared abandoned. We saw mo one except someone at the front counter. We arrived around 1pm and eas told check in is at 3pm. Left and returned at around 3.30pm. Someone met us in the card carport and mentioned something about no power and we were relocated to Starfish Hotel. Which is a less expensive hotel.

This facility offers truly beautiful surroundings and impressive views, creating an environment with strong potential. However, the property would benefit from targeted investment to address several infrastructure issues that affect the overall guest experience. I hesitated to provide this feedback because the staff were exceptionally courteous, attentive, and consistently went out of their way to accommodate us. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality stood out. Despite the facility’s current limitations, the quality of service and the overall atmosphere were positive enough that I would choose to return.

I checked in around 5:30 pm and there was no receptionist. I was escorted to my room by the very friendly and apologetic security officer. The first sight that greeted me was lizard poop on the armchair and a big fat lizard on the wall above. I could not stay in this room so I was escorted to the one next door. I didn’t feel safe in this room as the balcony door did not close properly and therefore could not lock. The door track was filthy. Additionally the latch above the entry door was loose and missing a screw. When I got up during the night to use the bathroom there were two cockroaches running around the shower stall. At breakfast the next morning there was no one at the entrance to the restaurant. I seated myself and on the chair next to the one on which I sat was a dead maggot being swarmed by ants. Based on all of the above I cut my stay short and checked out at 10:00 am that morning. I will never stay at Mt. Irvine again

It is sad to see where Mt Irvine is at. A once vibrant hotel it’s now like a ghost town. No one there. No vibrancy. Water available for a few hours per day, no appealing meals. The entire hotel needs a lift in appearance but it is clear that its potential is still there. Hard to recommend the hotel in its current form. I was disappointed.

Mount Irvine Beach Resort has great potential. The grounds and overall layout lend to what could be a truly exceptional resort experience. Unfortunately, the property is poorly maintained and somewhat run-down, which detracted from our stay, in addition to other disappointments. Several basic amenities were lacking. Towels and toiletries were provided sparingly, and it often felt as though essentials such as soap, towels, and even breakfast items seemed to be rationed rather than offered with the level of hospitality one would expect from a resort. During our three-day stay, housekeeping services were not provided at all. We only managed to get fresh towels and additional bath soap by stopping the housekeeper when we happened to hear her passing by our room. The service experience was disappointing. Upon arrival in the afternoon, the only staff member available was the security guard, with no reception staff present to assist with check-in. Similarly, when we checked out, there was no one at the reception desk despite having advised the resort in advance that we would be leaving early, around 8:30 a.m. While the resorthas significant potential, the lack of maintenance, inadequate staffing, poor housekeeping, and extremely disappointing customer service made this a frustrating stay. As it stands, our stay fell well below expectations.

Our experience there was awful. On arrival the hotel was empty. Leaves all over the compound lots of mosquitoes as were checking in. Got to Our rooms there wasn't any water to flush the toilet or wash my hands. No phones in the rooms so I walked to the front desk, there they proceed to tell me there is a problem with water on the island. I left that hotel the same day and checked into another hotel for the rest of our stay. I didn't get refunded my money. This was really horrible and management also wasn't helpful.
