Nice peaceful place. Staff very friendly and co operative. Rooms bit small and less space to put your stuff. Need to provide toiletries according to need. Otherwise everything fine.

Property is located about 5 mins walk to the beach and off street parking is available. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay at the property.

Pleasant stay

We stayed for a weekend over bonfire night, unfortunately the fireworks were cancelled but we can’t help the weather 😉 on arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a gentlemen who showed us to our room and offered to carry our luggage which was lovely. The room was an economy quad with a double bed and set of bunk beds. On the small side but was for for purpose for what we required. Decor and bathroom could do with being updated at some point, shower was lovely and powerful but the steam peeled the paper off the ceiling (extraction wasn’t great) overall a pleasant stay

Investment Needed

Last minute weekend away with my little boy so little availability elsewhere but found Fortuna. Pricing is excellent for time of year, but I must say it reflects in the accommodation also. Very very tired, and in need of investment. Twin room (room 8), paper thin walls, in need of a good paint everywhere, and removal of prison-type bathroom would help. Free wifi, but unfortunately doesn't reach to top floor room. The only thing that marks this place up is the host. Polite, helpful, and very pleasant gentleman. I won't be going back, but as a play to lay your head only, ideally located for south pier and pleasure beach, aswell as Mcdonalds.

I didnt like the room was very dirty brown stains on bedsheets and pillows and curtains not joking and smells horrible . Would not recommend it to anyone .very disappointed

disgusting

Absolutely disgusting! The hotel smells terrible! The shower was mouldy. The wallpaper was peeling off. Holes in the wall. The milk was off and set! I have never stayed anywhere so filthy! There were cobwebs all over the room! The toilet roll holder was smashed leaving a sharp edge which caught my arm!

Ideal location, hotel is dated & could do with a coat of paint to brighten it up but it was spotless, bed was comfy & staff pleasant. Only there for 1 night but would stay again

Cheap, you get what you pay for. The photographs make it look acceptable but in reality it’s disgusting. Needs an entire refurbish. Wallpaper peeling off, ceiling cracks, a dead spider in the wardrobe and a TV that’s the size of a tablet. It’s just unkempt, and needs some money spent on it. Luckily was only for the weekend, tried to stay out as late as possible just to avoid staying there. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

Not the Ritz but you get what you pay for!

Weekend break hotel, adequate for our needs. Small rooms, not the Ritz but you get what you pay for! Clean bed sheets and towels and good shower. Would stay again!

Wouldn't let a dog stay here

Location was good but the hotel it's self was outdated needs a lot of work done. Small toilet area with a big hand basin over lapping the toilet it's self shower was dirty. Mold on the bedroom certain could not look out of windows due to being really dirty. Wallpaper was ripped in places and marks all over. A small TV which you could only see from 1 bed due to location on wall Also a bad smell in hotel was not pleasent. WiFi did not work. I would not be staying here again ever.

Room was in appalling condition.

Horrible experience for myself and my family. Wallpaper hanging off the wall as was the tv. Shower wouldn't go off no clean towels daily, room wasn't cleaned daily either. Do not book!!

Rooms not decorated like the advertised one.

Room was nothing like the lovely room that is advertised on the pictures. Tatty wallpaper, plug sockets right in the midddle of the wall so anything plugged in was hanging in mid air over one of the beds. Not enough sockets either, so it was a choice of having tv or heating. Bed right in front of the window. The main living area downstairs was nice, just think the bedroom needed an overhaul. We still had a good time but would have been nice to have a room that we thought we had booked.

Horrible room, mould in room and all over curtains. My son has asthma and he wouldn't move us to another room plus his price is it worth it. He didn't even speak to you. Money grabber that's all. Everything outdated and also no proper doors in rooms

nice hotel close to pleasure beach

Pleasant greeting on arrival very helpful and curteous. room was exceptionally clean small but comfy and cosy. 2 day stay was very good and i would recommend staying here its so close to the station the pleasure beach south pier and the beach. all in all very well situated and well worth booking and staying here

Our room not like the photos

Our room was not anything like the photos, dated, didn't get clean towels or tea/coffee for the second day Wasn't asked how our stay was. We know it was cheap but we could have got better room closer to the time on a last minute deal. Wires behind TV where strip light used to be, strip light on another wall but did not work, suspect it's not connected.
