Great place to stay!
We had 6 adults and 4 children stay here. Plenty of beds, plenty of room for the little ones to play inside and out. Great location, dining, fishing, golf, the shops and hanging out at the Mill Pond all just a few minutes away. FYI-Keep an eye on children there is a cliff just beyond the back deck.

House with a view
The view alone is worth every penny. We were he from Florida for my brother’s wedding. The property is beautiful! We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning and hiked down to the river to cool off and fish in the afternoons. Would stay again!

A great location and comfortable home
We plan to come back! We loved the view, convenient location (a little tricky to find for the first time). The home was really comfortable, and we all loved the '70's vibe. Very well supplied with kitchen tools, bbq tools, and pretty much everything we needed. It truly felt like a family home.
The rustic River House was a great spot to stay for our golf tournament weekend. It's an old and quirky house but it was perfect for what we needed. The location is somewhat isolated and the views from the backyard were very nice. It's a short walk down to the local bar and easy access to get to the many golf courses in the area.
Beautiful location. Inside of the home immaculate. Out deck and small refrigerator need attention. BBQ needs ro be replaced, but made it work. Perfect rental for family reunion.
A good location and family home base for exploring the surrounding Graeagle area in spring and early summer, but it is in need of some updates. We were fortunate that the temperatures didn’t get above 85 because there are only fans in the house. The two king beds downstairs are indented from use and not comfortable. The bbq was also in need of an upgrade and was difficult to use. New beds and bbq would greatly improve this property.

Great Stay in Graeagle
Had a wonderful stay at the cliff house in Graeagle for our friends 60th birthday. We took advantage of the many great golf courses and found some excellent fishing spots. Caught several rainbows right in front of the house. River access is a bit of a hike but the trail is well maintained and there is also access at the nearby bridge. House is a little dated but everything works fine and the views are amazing. Had a storm roll through on the last night and enjoyed watching it from the porch. Had several meals out and everyone was super helpful and accommodating. Check in advance as several places required reservations but all made space and got us in.
There was a strong smell of kerosene from the heater that the owner may want to check out.
All in all we had a great experience and will be back for one of our next golf/fishing trips.

Cliff house
It could be a nice property, BUT: Coffee maker was not working, but was replaced. Hot tub did not work and was dirty. Wi-fi and TV did not work. No blinds, curtains or shades in second bedroom that had window facing east. Microwavable dishes were very limited. Make certain amenities are working prior to renting.
TV in master bedroom did not work and could only use pay cable stations. Sound on TV in living room was horrible could not turn it up had to use closed caption. Last year we complained about the same issue, and it still has not been corrected. No fuel for barbecue and smelled like carpet cleaning had just taken place. Will not rent again if TV not taken care of.

Perfect house for a large family!
We had the best time making memories at this rustic house. The house is very old, but filled with beautiful memories of the family owners. We will definitely be back to explore the area.

Honest review
The house was as advertised. The view was great. The problem was the small bugs in the master bath room and bedroom floor. There were 50 plus of these small flying bugs. We cleaned the bath tub and they were back the next day. No where else in the house.

Great Retreat!
Loved this house. Throwback to the 70's....but super comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay. Kitchen well-equipped. Outside grill was clean and ready to use. Plenty of deck seating and a great view of the River. Corn-hole game was a nice touch. Close to everything that's awesome about the Lost Sierras. Would book again.

Memorial weekend golf tournament
Can’t beat that view! House isn’t updated. Needs some updates like broken down dining room table. Living room TV has issues with clear audio, so needing captions to know what is being said. Too much clutter in kitchen cabinets leaving little room for the guests to put away their things. Stuff on cabinets is not practical for guests taking up space. But we absolutely love the upstairs huge space for our 6 kids to take up. Master king bed needs to be more firm - too soft - you tend to roll to edge. Love playing corn-hole they provide. You have to have your own ROKU app on phone to watch TV - lower price for this home in comparison to nicer large homes that sleep 10-12. Close to Plumas Golf Course - a little over a mile away. Close to town - under 2 miles. Little store but 20 miles to a true grocery store.

Like going to your grandparents house.
Beautiful view, with a homey lived in feeling. House was clean with a relaxed feeling, like the grandparents house. Why the 3 stars then? Because I cant give it a 3.5. Keep reading.
Pros: Central location in Greagle, makes a great jumping off point for daily adventures, 1 hour to Reno, 1 hour to Truckee... Can fit / enterain a larger group. Perfect for a large family (without littles) or multi family rental. Great internet connection and yard for activities. Close to restaurants and bar, and public land for actual river acess. Wildlife feels comfortable in the yard, as there was a large Doe that would arrive mid morning and bed in the front yard till late afternoon before grazing back down to the river.
Cons: The "Private River acess" (One of the main reasons we booked this property) advertised in the listing is not appropriate for the vast majority of people. Being a steep, overgrown, single track trail, that was under construction during our visit (large pile of rocks in the middle of one section), it appeared to lead to an overgrown section of the river and no "beach". We quickly discovered that our small children wouldn't be using this "access" nor would anyone whom has a limitation or a concern about bush wacking your way down to the water. The house although homey and comfortable poses some issues if you bring young kids, things like a large stone hearth and staircase up stairs without a railing. And although the yard is good size there are alot of overgrown bushes and trees for toys and other items to dissapear into. Some of the furniture and appliances are in need of replacing/ repair.
Overall this house could be GREAT, rather than just good. I feel like the listing could use some updates/ honesty.

Beautiful, scenic, warm home in the Sierras
Beautiful nature views. Full kitchen, all the basic amenities. Close to town. We loved our visit.
We came to Greagle for a family wedding and needed a place to house our family. The location was perfect for the time we were there. House was great for our crew and getting 10 people ready for a wedding.
It was nice!! Definitely need to watch your children if you have any because of the cliff. If there is a urn in the home. I think that is kinda gross. The tv in the master bedroom we couldn’t get it to work. I think it is missing a second remote because the front room has 2 and the bedroom only has 1. Need better cutlery set or suggest people to bring their own. Knives were not good at all.

Comfortable stay in the gold country
Our stay day was so enjoyable! The house was perfect for a family vacation. Even though there was a lot of smoke from the Dixie fire, there was plenty to do. The upstairs combination bedroom and playroom was perfect for the kids. And the kids absolutely loved the beautiful yard. The house is close to many educational and fun lakes, rivers, museums and restaurants. We want to come back and enjoy the lovely views of the Feather River and Canyon direct leave below the house.
Great location, set off with no visible neighbors. Nice house with pretty well stocked kitchen. A few terrific pieces of furniture. Probably better in summer.when you can enjoy the deck and lawn furniture.
The big negative is the second bedroom, where we stayed. There are no window coverings and a vinyl floor with no area rugs. A stopper for us.
