Lookout Lodge is the Best!

This cabin was amazing. It was clean, filled with many spaces to have family time, and it provided a beautiful view of the mountains. It was easily accessible and it was not far from the local boutiques and stores.

The Best We’ve Had

This cabin it’s absolutely gorgeous. From the moment we stepped through the door we knew this was definitely what we needed. Clean spacious cabin with so many different areas to entertain and relax. Loved that it had pantry space to store our groceries. This one is our fav after vacationing in the mountains for the past 18 years

Beautiful home well appointed

My book club friends loved this beautiful mountain home. It was furnished beautifully and the kitchen was stocked well. The only drawback is that you can hear road noise from the busy highway on the back porches. Bring your own washcloths because the ones provided were so thin and scratchy. Towels were acceptable. I called before our trip to ask if there was a coffee makers that used K-pods and was told no. There is a nice dual coffee maker with carafe and a k-pod side for Keurig lovers.

Turned into a Bad Experience

The home was beautiful but we didn't have hot water for the whole say. The furnace went out and it was 5% at night. The down stairs fire place went out so the down stars stayed at like 50%. We ended up having to leave on Christmas Day and cut our trip short. It was to hard with 5 adults 2 children and 1 infant. Vacasa was notified they did send someone out he couldn't fix the hot water heater and he got the furnace back on but it went back out same day. Still I have not heard a thing back from them on the stay. The home may be beautiful but the Management of the Property It really ruined out Mountain Christmas we were trying to have with our family.

Mountain Tops

Our family of 11 stayed here late August and we had a great time. We loved the house and the space that allowed everyone their own areas. The kids especially loved the pool table and the adults the hot tub. The views from both decks were breathtaking every morning and evening. The cabin is close to everything. We toured blue ridge, went hiking at Fall Branch Falls, and Amicola Falls. We had a day on the boat and enjoyed some apple picking at a local orchard. We cooked most of our meals here and that was a challenge with what was provided. The kitchen was not well equipped, and we had to run to Walmart and buy several basic things. Most of the stuff there was very cheap (dollar store brand), so if you plan on cooking come prepared with everything you need. There was also one broom so it was hard to keep things tidied up. A floor swifter or vacuum could have come in handy. The windows were quite dirty and cobwebs throughout the home when we arrived. The bathrooms are nice but again only one towel and washcloth provided per guest, so we had to run out and grab some extra's. They also don't allow the fireplace to work during the time we were there which would have been nice on cool mornings. The beds were super comfy and the family all loved spending time out on the decks. Overall, the place is beautiful, has beautiful views, and perhaps was new still and working on equipping it for 12 people. We would come back for sure!

Mice in Cabin

Our stay started off fine but after 2 nights we discovered mice were inside the cabin on the bottom floor. This is where our kids were sleeping as it was the area with the most beds and bunk beds. After seeing the first mouse I immediately messaged Vacasa (management company) and they did not respond. The next day we saw another mouse run through the first floor bedroom and messaged Vacasa again with no response. So for two nights we could not use the bottom floor to sleep and we resorted to sleeping on couches and with 3-4 people in the beds upstairs because we did not want our kids sleeping downstairs in bedrooms with mice running around. Vacasa never replied back or called me while in the cabin after I repeatedly told them about the mice. Also, I have reached out to Vacasa afterwards and they have still not responded with a reasoning as to why I was ignored and they have done nothing to correct the situation. They continue to tell me someone is looking into my issue and will get back to me, but they have yet to do so. The home is in a good location but until it is managed by a different company other than Vacasa I would stay away.

Perfect house!

Lookout Lodge is a beautiful home with plenty of common space for our girls trip, great location, and very comfortable beds! The furnishings are beautiful, everything was very clean and having king beds in every room made the weekend comfortable for our whole group. Being 10 min from Blue Ridge and about 20 min to McCaysville gives lots of options for dinning and shopping.

This place was a perfect fit for our large extended family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location, and the view. The only downside to this property location is that it overlook the highway and you can hear the noise while sitting on the beautiful spacious deck. There aren't many places like this one, so the trade off for us was worth it, but if you're looking for a remote mountain cabin, this is not the place for you, if you don't mind a little traffic noise. Book it now! Another thing I enjoyed about the view is being able to see the lights across the highway from the other homes in the mountains. It was a really beautiful view if you don't look down at the highway. Also, the sky was incredible and you can see it from all over the house. The kitchen was equipped, the bed I used was incredibly comfortable (best sleep I had in years), the fireplaces were awesome, the back porch was my favorite space to lounge and just enjoy the beautiful weather. I would stay again.

Very relaxing week

Family had a really nice time in this spacious house (obviously very new). We shot pool, relaxed in the hot tub, and just sat out on the covered deck taking in the view. Short drive to restaurants and shops in downtown Blue Ridge. A lot of activities in the area. We took a hike to a water falls and visited local winery. The Bigfoot Museum was very interesting "
