「We love this place. That said this year we arrived during a power outage and had been placed in a pet friendly room (we did not have pets with us). I said it would be okay as they couldn't move us due to power outage. The room was not up to par as it has lots of hair (pet and human?) all over one of the beds. Our porch was also missing both chairs. That said we love the property. Dinner at the lodge was amazing. As this was our 5th year, we will be back next year and hope this year was just a...

「This is a very old property. The current owners are trying to update everything. I wish I could give it a higher rating because they're trying so hard. The rooms are very dated but the beds were comfortable. They are updating the rooms one at a time The location is great, less than half a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hopefully they can revive this motel. There's a great restaurant down the road in Linville Falls called The Famous Rockhouse. I highly recommend them for breakfast.」

「Such a peaceful haven in the mountains! The staff are really nice and the rooms are nice too. Great place to have as a base camp for visiting nearby waterfalls.」

「Facility is old but serious efforts have been made to update. New dropped ceilings, fairly new furnishings, new paint, quaint etc. Very clean and comfortable. I had very limited contact with staff, but that was pleasant. There was some road noise but not terrible. Spacious parking was at the room entry. Some of the room photos are misleading.
