Property was well maintained. Room was very clean and had a lot of room to move. Liked that it was quiet, and felt very comfortable there. Didn't see or deal with any of the staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Love this spot how much fun if you had a family with you it was clean the food truck had excellent food convenient to where we were heading and actually I loved it. The only issue I had was the young lady at the bar was kind of not helpful when I asked her simple questions like how do I order my food otherwise I would highly recommend and highly stay here again. One of the best places we’ve been in the river was just to hop skipping away, and it was beautiful morning to be down by it.

Great place. Loved the live music, trivia night…the game room, store, taproom & coffee truck are all great amenities! Loved sitting out on the deck while the fall leaves fell. Our room was the only slight negative. Was only room with a window AC unit that didn’t work great and made the outside noise bad. Also some mold above the shower…but I will stay here again.

What a quaint place to stay. There are a variety of lodging options (room, cabin, RV). The rooms have a cute woodsy feel. The bar has friendly staff and nice drink selections. There is a small store to buy necessary provisions and gifts.

I like that it has old Alpine Charm that fits the highlands. They have go to great lengths to build out decks from the restaurant, have pickle bar ball court. There is a specialty food truck onsite in addition to good menu and nice bar, it gives the Pineola a vibe of youth and comfort. Although I don’t stay often I live in Newland in Summer and will make sure I get back to restaurant/ bar to relax one evening.

Pineola - A Great Hidden Gem Motel

The Pineola is a great hidden gem motel with superb sevice. I have stayed here multiple times as it is a great basecamp for hiking and exploring the beatiful area around it.
