Well appointed, spacious cottage, located south of Bayfield on a quiet dead end road. 3 comfortable bedrooms, with clothes cabinets or drawers. No working AC, fans available. Bathroom was spacious with tub/shower equipped with grab bar and large countertop. Spacious kitchen with all necessary dishes/utensils/appliances. Water is drinkable. Nice front porch and large deck at the back of the cottage. BBQ and Fire pit available. Beach access across the road, a short distance from the cottage but accessibility is limited by a pathway with a steep set of stairs and no step onto the beach from the last step. While we were there, a tree stump was placed as the last step down to the beach. The beach is very nice with a sandy bottom beyond the rocky shoreline and private for the cottagers on that part of the road. Bring water shoes. Cottage itself is not accessible for persons with mobility issues. We travelled with seniors and the challenge is that there is no handrail at either cottage entrance, even though there are only a few steps to navigate. It was challenging.
We also had a small issue with not having a working light in the dining room which we alerted our host Jennifer to, on the first day. Jennifer was quick to respond to our concern, however, the light was only installed and working 4 days later and after taking up 8 hours of our time to be at the cottage during the inspections/installation. She offered an apology for our inconvenience. Overall, the cottage was really enjoyable and the location was great to access Bayfield, Goderich, Grand Bend and the Pinery.
