“Only 5 units in this beautifully renovated palazzo. Great location. Very clean, good size rooms. First floor has a beautiful common area living room. Breakfast area on the second floor serves a good spread every morning. The palazzo was better than " four star" hotels we have stayed in during our trip around Italy this year. Staff on site only part of the day but no issues with access. Barbara sends all required info by email well in advance. We loved Bergamo and our stay in Porta Picta!”

“Absolutely fantastic apartment in a Beautiful location, the rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard, the staff were extremely helpful and always smiling! A great selection at breakfast especially the freshly made scrambled eggs. We popped down to the restaurant on a couple of evenings and the food was lovely. Nothing at all negative to say!”

“Beautifylly maintained property in the heart of Bergamo old town. Comfortable room with all the needed amenities. Delicious breakfast and coffee. We were fortunate to chat for a bit with the host who took the time to share the history of the building and key points in the area as well. Would definitely stay here again and recommend!”

“I booked this place because of the location. I didn't realize it didn't have AC until we checked in. Thankfully it was October so it was mild weather temps. We did leave the window open and there was a ceiling fan and an oscillating fan in the room.”

Hyggelig by med mange gode spisesteder.

“Flott rom helt sentralt i Bergamo.”

“Hotel was gorgeous but a few things let it down. 1. I had to chase for the ZTL exemption and the key code to enter the property 2. When we arrive the car gates did not open using the code we had been provided, this had to be updated after I had called 3. Coffee machine in room did not work 4. Shower head fell off when we were using it 5. Hairdryer did work, then stopped working half way through 6. No towels for our daughter, just two sets put out 7. Safe could not be opened, luckily did not……

“This is very much out of the way. The car park to the front of the property feels like you are part of the conversation on the outside from inside your room. Perhaps much much better double glazing would help. The digital access system is very useful but due to the heavy locks etc you definitely know when someone has entered or left the building. Maybe some door closures would cushion the sound. The neighbouring property has steel ornate gates. Again perhaps some sort of rubber cushion on the……

“very good breakfast”
