Family of 4 had an amazing stay! House was even nicer than expected and the location was AMAZING. We had so much fun exploring the dunes and the nearby beach was beautiful and private. Close to nearby hiking, tide pools, redwoods- would definitely book again!

Salmon Creek Charm

This cottage was a find! A little bit rustic, a little bit coastal and a touch of whimsy. We had two beautiful sunny days where we sat in the morning sunshine having coffee and watching the birds, especially loved the hummingbirds. We could hear the ocean roar in the background but were sheltered from the wind. The place was clean, comfy beds and nice cotton linens and towels.

A sweet getaway!

My family and I had a lovely stay at this cozy Bodega Bay home. The house had everything we needed and the host was so kind and communicative. The dunes and beach are a very short walk just out the back door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Wonderful house and location!

We had a truly lovely stay at this beach house. It had everything we needed and a ton of charm--just perfect. The location cannot be beat: we loved walking on the sand dunes right out the back gate and wandering over to the beautiful beach just a few minutes away. We hope to be back next year!

Quick beach visit

We absolutely loved staying here! The house was so cozy and you can’t beat the location to the beach. We loved having coffee outside every morning and hiking over the dunes to the beach in the afternoon. We’d totally stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay as we were able to bring our pups with us. The location is great with a water way nearby. With just minor questions upon our arrival Jennifer/Owner was very quick to respond as well as communicating any concerns or questions we had. Would like to revisit this VRBO again and enjoy the area even more.

Great getaway!

This is our second time staying here! Our three year old daughter loves coming here. The beach is right outside and we have s’mores every night while looking at the stars! It’s a great weekend away from home!

recent stay in Salmon Creek

We enjoyed our 5 night stay in Salmon Creek. The house was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. We loved the outdoor space- a real plus for our dog. The house is close to many good places to eat if you feel like hopping in the car. We have been to Bodega Bay and Salmon Creek many times; we will plan to return to this home again.

Cute cottage by the sea

We love this place, it's cute, cozy, and very comfortable. Everything is easy to use and the host is awesome. Our dogs love the fenced in yard.The Beach is a 2 minute walk. We were very pleased with this place. Thankyou Johnson family for sharing your little piece of heaven.

If you want to be near the beach and experience all things beach, this spot is perfect! Just a short walk to the beach where we watched surfers, saw a whale, and enjoyed a perfect sunset! We fell asleep hearing the waves! The house was very clean and comfortable and offered a large outdoor space! It was perfect.

The perfect getaway

This home was just what i needed. So quiet, you could hear the roar of the ocean. So out of the way, you can see a sky full of stars. Yet a 5 minute walk to the ocean. Miles of beach. Miles of dunes then only 5 minute drive to Bodega bay trail cove. Another amazing ocean experience. And Bodega Head, a casual hike for amazing views of the ocean, Bodega bay and our bea California hill scape. The home is lovely. Comfortable, cozy and clean! Private with everything you may need. A breath of fresh air. And... a wonderful conscience, attentive host!I will be back!

Mom we love you!!

The Driftwood Cottage was wonderful place for us to gather for Mom / Nana's LIFE MEMORIAL. The weather was perfect in every way. The house has many seating spots to visit / relax and the window views into the trees were spectacular. The kids enjoyed the yard and at night we gathered around the patio firepit to visit and share stories. 2 Good size bedrooms, dining table for 6 and everything you would need to relax and enjoy your surroundings. You must open the back gate and take the 5 - 10 min walk to the ocean. If you have kids bring a kite for a little fun. Jennifer thank you for sharing your home & we appreciate the memory. Beach Weekend

Great location to the Bodega Dunes Beach. That being said, we went with our dog, and there are sign’s everywhere about not taking dogs on the beach. So we had to drive to take him to the beach. House was cozy and clean. We had everything we need and were comfortable. Also wish I knew the road was kinda dirt road, because of the weather ( no one fault) it became a mud road. If I would have known that ahead of time we could have brought our truck instead of the car. All in all still a great weekend getaway with my husband. We would totally stay again if they could let the dog on the beach. Owners were great to work with.

Peace & Tranquility

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lovely cottage, which is perfectly located within walking distance to the dunes and the beach. We found the place clean and comfortable, and everything we needed to enjoy our stay was available in the cottage, as described. Since we arrived after dark, my only suggestion, however, would be to provide ample outdoor lighting (perhaps a working flood light) to help guests safely find their way to the door and unload their belongings. Other than that, our stay quite memorable. On our first morning, we got to enjoy eating breakfast on the outdoor picnic table, as we listened to the waves and felt the warm sun and cool breeze on our faces. Our 2 fur babes also enjoyed their stay, especially the enclosed yard, which they found much more pleasurable than our yard at home. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Unacceptable problems

The following serious problems (not evidenced on the VRBO listing) were so problematic that we did not stay there for more than 10 minutes after checking out the accommodations: - no safe place to park - lights in hallway unwired and/or burned out - lights in main bedroom very dim - Could not access channel listing ( and therefore could not watch anything) on TV

when we arrived the main bed room was not usable. the bed was a mess, the sheets had not been changed. we slept in the second bed room each night. the bathroom had wet towles on the floor. the kitchen floor was not swept. Dishes were drying on the drain board. So we would like you to refund the cleaning deposit to us. thank you, Phillip Barbera.
