Riverside Retreat is the perfect getaway that marries the best of mountain escapes with the convenience of modern comforts. Nestled in a fork of the picturesque New River valley, it sits just a short drive from downtown Boone and all it has to offer, meshing relaxation and recreation in a perfect blend.

Exterior: Riverside Retreat is a modern mountain lodge featuring live edge siding, great outdoor living areas, and a large, flat lot with over 150' of riverfrontage. As you step out onto the expansive deck sitting over the river, you'll be immersed in the relaxing sound of flowing water. It is the ideal place to enjoy an outdoor meal with loved ones or you can relax in the comfortable seating under the covered porch enjoying the warmth and glow of the propane fire table. If a wood-burning fire is more your speed, the riverside fire pit is just in the yard. There's no better place to roast marshmallows and share stories under the stars. A few steps away, you can strike up a competitive game of tether ball for the kids (or adults) who refuse to sit still! The well-maintained frontage along the river offers areas where you can enjoy fishing, exploring, tubing, splashing, or meditating.

Interior: Inside, modern touches are well blended with rustic, homegrown comfort. The living area boasts stained wood ceilings, while a large stone hearth anchors the living room, providing both a focal point and a cozy spot for chilly evenings. The décor is a blend of rustic and modern, with natural wood furnishings, plush sofas, and tasteful artwork. The upper-level sun room offers views of the river along three walls as well as a host of entertainment options.

Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. It features beautiful quartz countertops, ample cabinetry, and more than enough room to prepare for large family gatherings. Cooking utensils, dishes, and cookware are provided so that mealtime with family is always an option.

Dining Area: Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining area has a large table with seating for eight or more, perfect for family meals or gatherings. Beautiful artwork sets the scene inside, but you're never far away from the relaxing sound of running water on the deck. Direct access to the deck from the dining room and kitchen makes it easy for those who prefer to grill.

Bedrooms: Riverside Retreat has four bedrooms, each designed for maximum comfort and relaxation. The master bedroom is located on the ground floor and has a king-sized bed, direct access to the deck overlooking the water, and an en-suite bathroom with a riverstone shower. The remaining bedrooms are all located upstairs. These include a queen bedroom, a kids' bunkroom with two sets of bunks and a trundle, and finally, a Jack and Jill bedroom with a queen bed. All rooms feature very comfortable beds, quality linens, and easy access to bathrooms.

Bathrooms: There are two and a half modern and well-appointed bathrooms, with features such as walk-in showers, sleek vanities, and plenty of fluffy towels.

Entertainment and Amenities: For entertainment, the cabin is equipped with multiple, smart, flat-screen TVs. High-speed internet access ensures you can stay connected or stream your favorite shows to any TV. There is also a fun collection of interactive games including foosball, Connect4, and Scrabble as well as many board games and books for a cozy night in.

Proximity to Town: Despite its tranquil setting, Riverside Retreat is exceptionally well located near downtown Boone, with all the amenities it has to offer, including ubereats and multiple pizza delivery options to the property. Riverside Retreat allows you to enjoy the peace of the mountains while still having easy access to everything you need for a comfortable stay.

- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- This home accepts two mature, well-trained dogs with a $25 per day, per dog fee.
- Firewood for the outdoor fire pit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Flat, gravel parking area for up to 4 vehicles
- Returning guests to Riverside Retreat may receive a 10% discount off the rent (not to be stacked with other discounts).
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
