Perfect Slopeside Stay – Unbeatable Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing stay at this slopeside condo! The location couldn’t be better—just steps from the lift, making it incredibly convenient for skiing in and out. The condo itself was clean, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a cozy fireplace and one of the only units with partial views of a couple of the summit slopes. The host was communicative and made sure we had all the details for a seamless check-in. After long days on the slopes, we loved relaxing in the hot tub and pool nearby and enjoying the well-stocked kitchen for home-cooked meals.If you’re looking for a hassle-free, ski-in/ski-out experience with all the comforts of home, this is the place to stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Snow trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We wanted to extend our snowboard trip by a couple of days and the room that we were originally in had someone that booked it. Melanie was able to switch our room to this unit so we can enjoy three more days of snowboarding. This room was a little more dated than our original room “631” but it did the trick. I give high praise to Melanie at the management office. She was on top of every need we had.

Solid Ski-In/Ski-Out

It was only my brother and myself so there was plenty of space (4 people would probably be the limit, in my opinion, to stay comfortably). The view was spectacular. They were making snow all night/every night and I could barely hear the blowers unless the sliding glass door was opened. The check in and out was a breeze. At most, maybe 50 steps around the building to the closest run and we were strapping on our boards. The location, relative to shopping (grocery and general retail), can hardly be better.Cons: Only one really and its personal preference at the end of the day... the twin beds were both stiff as a board (queen in the Master BR was softer) and I’m a big baby who likes a big fluffy soft bed. That said, the couch was plenty comfy so no real loss there... I just learned that on my next visit I’ll bring a mattress topper with me.All in all though... great place and I’d do it all over again in a second (and probably will again - if not before the end of this season then definitely next season).

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time visiting the rental. But this unit was not clean when we arrived, I had to clean kitchen and masters bedroom. I rented a unit for 5, and it only had 3 beds, one double and 2 singles. There was a couch not a sofabed, so it was not for sleeping. The master's bathroom tub had issues, one of the blinds fell when we tried to open it, it was broken. We wouldn't recommend this particular unit. The staff was nice they fixed the tub. But one of my kid had to sleep on the floor.

perfect for our family of 5

My husband and I spent 3 nights with our sons ages 11, 14 & 16 at Sugar Ski, and the property perfectly fit our needs. It was clean, had a full kitchen, laundry facilities and was right on the ski ramp. The location is good, Sugar Mtn is close to Banner Elk, where most the better restaurants are. This is our 3rd trip to the Boone area, and by far our favorite. The master's queen bed is averagely comfortable, and you're so exhausted after a day of skiing, etc that average is acceptable. The boys said the 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom were not comfortable. Our other son had the blow up matteress in the living room floor, and he didn't seem to mind that. Everything was clean, and the staff in the trailer that is temporarily serving as the lobby were REALLY easy to access and very helpful. They will be opening the new facility with a pool and hot tub soon, and that is a really great new option.

Terribly dated and messy unit

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed on the property a few years back and enjoyed the comforts and convenience of location. If we didn’t have those memories of what could be we would not recommend renting a unit in the future. The staff is as kind and friendly as can be; thank you Shelby for responding so quickly and getting rid of all the unclean linens that were on the beds. We wanted a long weekend to let the family unwind and get some ski time between the holiday. The unit is older, which we knew but did not expect to have to strip and make beds at 11 pm because the sheets and comforters were visibly soiled. The mattresses were uncomfortable, the stove had a broken range element coil and that may have been why the breaker was flipped. I was surprise that the wall heating unit in the 2nd bedroom had a twin bed pushed against it: I noticed the heater was set on high when I was changing those sheets, they and the dust ruffle were hot to the touch, I suggest they rearrange the room to circumvent any such fire hazard.
