「Staying up in the mountains, you have to accept that you will have insect visitors come in your room. The host gave us a spray to help the insects leave. The host kept our room clean and gave fresh towels. They helped us build our itinerary. I had to have some milk and food for my young kids and they let me use their fridge. Dog was friendly.」

「First time stay. A little far out but pleasant location.
Odd smell permeated the whole apartment. Lots of stray hairs on the floor. Microwave not working. Remote controls all have dead batteries. Sofa was dirty. TV connection extremely bad - "blizzard screen".
Beds were comfortable and view out into the sea was fabulous. 」

「Easily the most amazing property I have ever stayed at (beating some world-class resorts in the Maldives for example).
The Savah Sunset Villa, that we had all to ourselves, is the size of a tennis court but has two storeys. The grounds of that one villa down to the beach are the size of a football pitch.
The private pool is bigger (and deeper) than many hotels' communal pools.
The staff even come to your villa to cook breakfast.

「Lovely hotel with lovely staff, there's an Orange store (very similar to 7 11) , an Indian restaurant and a cafe all in the vicinity.
The only negative is the location as you'll have to take a Grab to travel around Kota Kinabalu.」
