Location Is Great, But Cleanliness Was a Major IssueThe apartment matched the listing photos and most of what was advertised. The location is excellent — convenient and well situated for getting around. That said, our stay was unfortunately cut short due to cleanliness issues upon arrival.Notable problems included:- A dirty plate left in the sink- Unwashed utensils- Hair in one of the shower- Multiple hairs on the bedsheet (photo documented)- Strong marijuana odor in the hallway While I initially addressed the first few items myself, the condition of the bedding raised clear hygiene concerns, prompting us to leave the unit the next day and find alternate accommodations.Although the host shared a cleaning video, it lacked timestamps or confirmation that it reflected the unit’s state at our check-in. No resolution was offered.I’ve used VRBO for over 10 years and this was the first time I’ve had to leave a property or file a complaint. I hope this helps improve quality control and accountability moving forward.
