What a gorgeous place and a lovely welcome from Jackie. The room is a great size with all the amenities in the kitchen. The whole place was well looked after; it was like brand new. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The food in the morning, which was brought up by Jackie was excellent. An array of fruit in the fruit salad, delicious honey and yogurt. The hot breakfast was cooked to perfection and not greasy. We were given some great tips for our walk along Hadrians wall. We highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic accommodation. Very clean. Very modern fixtures and fittings. Lovely proprietor who brought us breakfast each morning. Nothing bad about this place. Fabulous.

Great place to stay for B&B of self catering
What a great place to stay, we were in the annex which is a self-contained flat above the garage. It included a lounge area with chairs and a limited SKY TV package (on a good size TV) plus a kitchen area with fridge making it a great place to stay and self-cater. However we were B&B and the breakfast was exceptional by far the best for quality and quantity for any previous B&B we have stayed in. Our host Jackie could not do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. As we were walking the Hadrians Wall trail they even took delivery/passed on our baggage from the baggage transfer company.The large walk in shower was also a bonus. We would definitely stay here again if in this area.

Spacious accommodation
Lovely spacious accommodation, only stayed for one night, but it would be suitable for longer stays with a good sized usable kitchen. Breakfast provided was really good, and the owner was very nice.

The perfect self contained studio
More than perfect! Super comfy beds, a powerful hot shower, use of washing machine and dryer and an amazing choice for breakfast both hot and cold.
Could not fault at all. And will definitely stay again when we return to walk the wall next time

This was the best B&B I’ve ever stayed in. The owner literally cannot do enough for you. Too late for dinner - I’ll sort it. Hand sliced open? Here’s a medical kit. And on top of all that - a beautiful, modern little flat with all the mod cons you might want - including a washing machine and tumble dryer. An excellent establishment!

You won't regret staying here
Had a lovely stay. The place is new, clean, comfy and the showers have excellent pressure. Wonderful breakfast and the proprietors are a nice couple. If you want to go for a walk along Hadrians Wall this is a great place to stay. The wall is close by and a nice westerly 1.5mi walk along the wall will take you to several good sites ending at the Birdoswald roman fort (an english heritage site). The Lanercost Priory is a short drive away. Would have loved to spend a couple more days here.
