Excellent break

Had a wonderful time at croftner, the lodge was clean and tidy and had everything we needed, the hot tub was a great touch at the end of day out, so relaxing, the garden was brilliant for the dog, completely closed in and safe, would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic Breakaway

Lodge was immaculate with a large enclosed garden for our dog to roam freely whilst we enjoyed the jacuzzi (frequently!) Choice of outdoor furniture was appreciated. This was our 3rd stay at Great Field Lodges and we hope to return again!

Perfect Short Break

We had a perfect weekend in this lovely lodge, we met the host on arrival very helpful. The lodge was very peaceful, private and well appointed, we especially enjoyed the hot tu The lodge was warm and cosy in the evening, especially after coming in from the hot tub. We are looking forward to booking again.

Excellent stay!

Lovely place to stay with everything we needed. Quick walk into Braunton with loads of great places to eat and drink. Lots of other options and beaches short car journey away. Would stay again.

Excellent Stay

Me and my partner stayed for 3 nights with our dog and to say we had the most lovely time is an understatement. The lodge was in perfect condition with lovely touches like a bottle of Prosecco and dog treats for the puppy. The area was amazing with incredible walks and a lovely town with a great fish and chips (Squires) and great brunch spots. We will definitely be back again and can’t thank the owners enough for such a lovely weekend.

Amazing experience as always

We have always had an amazing experience staying here the two times we have been. The place is in a very convenient place and easy to get to places close by for entertainment. The hot tub is amazing and private with no one overlooking. All in all a 10/10 stay as always

Great stay

Beautiful lodge, very clean, warm inside and fully equipped. The hot tub was lovely to use and very warm. The enclosed garden area was beautifully designed and not overlooked by the other lodges, very quiet setting and not far away from Braunton town, highly recommended

Lovely Peaceful Stay

Beautiful lodge, very clean and everything you need for a short break. Lovely welcome gifts of prosecco, shortbreads and biscuits for the dog! Plus the enclosed garden for our dog was brilliant! Thank you very much xx

The best Lodge break we have been on

Everything was thought out and absolutely perfect !! Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Nearby plenty of beaches, pubs and shops almost everywhere dog friendly. We will definitely book to stay again

Fab hot tub stay.

High end lodge with quality furnishings. Located a few minutes drive from the village and ten minutes from the beach. Private area for the dogs was excellent. Would definitely recommend 5 ⭐️

Perfect Devon getaway

The lodge was perfect for us as a couple with our dog. It was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and just the right size. We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub daily and it was nice that the garden was fenced off to allow our dog to roam free whilst we were using the hot tub. We brought a lot of food for our stay, but it was nice that some bits were already provided to get us started such as a small milk, coffee pods, shortbread biscuits and a bottle of prosecco!

This property was amazing! It was perfectly clean, really warm and had everything we needed for our stay including toweling robes to wear when using the hot tub. Would highly recommend, we had a wonderful pre-Christmas break!

Most beautiful stay!

Loved this lodge so much! Did want to go home. The place was so peaceful it was beautiful! The lodge itself I cannot fault at all, the presentation was lovely. You have everything you needed for a stay away from home. The hot tub was amazing aswell. Cannot wait to rebook in a couple months.

Amazing stay

I had an amazing 3 nights at croftner lodge. It was cozy, clean and it had everything we needed. Thank you for such a wonderful stay! Great communication with the owners and easy to find! March 2025 Holiday

Cannot fault a thing, we would go back in a heartbeat. Plenty of space inside and out, with a very private garden, a great deck area, and hot tub too! Inside there’s a well equipped kitchen / living room, comfortable and spacious bedroom, and a modern bathroom with a great shower. Good communication from the owners from start to finish. Ps. We bought a bag of the farm’s potatoes and they are amazing! Can’t wait to go back there again. Gary, Lyn, and the dogs.

Fantastic Stay

We stayed for 4 nights, the lodge was comfortable, clean, cosy and well presented. Private garden and hot tub. Complimentary milk, biscuits and Prosecco. Great location, very close to Saunton sands beach, 10min drive to Croyde and 20 min walk into Braunton village. The lodges are located on a working farm but there was very little in the way of noise and disturbances. Overall we had a lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Great accommodation and location

We stayed Monday to Friday in September. We met the owner upon arrival. The lodge was very clean and of high standard throughout. The hot tub was checked and maintained daily and was a great addition and one of the reasons for booking this lodge was because of the glass roof over the hot tub which was perfect as we did get a bit of rain most days during our stay which meant we could still use the hot tub. The lodge is easily accessed via a short lane just off of a main road. It was very quiet and we couldn't hear any noise, it was very relaxing. It's in a good location for visiting Woolacombe and Croyde.

Absolutely wonderful

On arrival we were so pleased with the huge garden for our greyhound to run about in. The accommodation was spotless, wood decor beautiful and cosy. Little touches like prosecco, dog biscuits , a dog blanket, poo bags and biscuits for us too was very lovely. Hot tub on the decking was amazing. Under floor heating was so cosy and the bed very comfy. Amazing shower, huge bathroom. Just absolutely perfect for our birthday getaway. If I could give it 100 stars I would! Thank you

Lovely weekend break

Just spent a long weekend in Croftner Lodge. Our first recommendation must be to the cleaning team we truly thought the lodge was brand new, everything is so beautifully pristine! The furnishings and equipment are all top quality and extremely comfortable with everything that you might need supplied. Despite being mid November and chilly, wet weather outside, the lodge was cosy and warm. The robes and towels lovely quality, thick and fluffy. The welcome pack was lovely and we truly made the best of the hot tub dipping in morning and night. The Lodges are in a great location to explore beautiful North Devon ideally placed for the fabulous beaches at Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, and Croyde Bay. Interesting walk on Braunton Burrows to Crow Point and lots of choice for places to eat locally. Whilst brilliantly placed for the shops and restaurants of Braunton the site is extremely peaceful, with only the sound of the birds disturbing the quiet! We definitely hope to return to this lovely place.

Second time staying, booked for a third time. Says it all.

We stayed at the great field lodges last year (different lodge to this time). Like last time, the lodge is clean and spacious. It's fitted and kitted out with all the necessaries needed for a comfortable holiday stay. Toilet roll, small bottle of milk, biscuits and treats for the dog, just to name a few :) Bathroom is big and so tastefully done. The whole place is tastefully done!! Design and layout is perfect for two of you (and a little one if like us). The fact it is dog friendly makes it even better. To have a holiday home as beautiful and luxurious as this, with the added benefits of a huge, fully fenced in and secure garden for our dog, makes this place our new number one home, from home. The price is so good, especially considering your location and what you get for your money - errr hello hot tub??!!! Everything is clean and in immaculate condition. It's so peaceful and you aren't ever infringing on any of the other lodges there (6 in total, 3 either side). I haven't had to contact Sarah during my stays, however she did contact me when we left an item behind - how lovely to have honest people around who care when you've left something behind!! I have seen her in passing. What a lovely lady. I'm sure if I did need anything or have any questions during my stay, she would be happy to help without a doubt. I cannot recommend this place enough, a real hidden gem. Look forward to coming back in July for two weeks (we're getting married in Ilfracombe) but holiday in Saunton and Croyde every year and have done since I was a baby. Location is brilliant, so many dog walks, dog friendly beaches and pubs nearby.
