“Lovely property with helpful staff. Sundays are busy with the Sunday supper - lots of families - but otherwise a quiet, restful stay!”

“There were build works outside by terrace overlooking lake with cement mixer and angle grinder cutting stone most of the day the Saturday I was there . Not the best idea with patrons sitting there by temporary plastic tape eating and drinking . Perhaps a fencing of sorts to obscure the works ?”

“We’ve booked one night here at first, then we decided to go there one day before and booked one more day. We told the reception lady when we arrived check in, she said it’s ok, no need to do the check in again and we could stay in the same room. The next day at ten mins before ten, a housekeeper locked on our door and told us to check out. We’re surprised and told her our case, she told us to check with the reception. Then the reception said we’ve to check out and come back by 4 to check in……

“Our room was excellent and the breakfast was perfect. Very comfy bed and all the facilities were very good.”

“The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was large, cool, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a bath, but no plug! They were working on the WiFi so we were not able to connect to it in our room. The TV signal was erratic. We booked a buffet breakfast but all that was actually available were variations on a cooked breakfast, or Toast & Jam. But the cooked breakfast was good and the food we had for our evening meals was superb. The hotel is located……

“A lovely hotel, staff and food fabulous. Would of been to have air conditioning in the room. Hottest week and fan did very little to cool us down.”

“One of the most beautiful building and gardens. It felt like being at a national trust, not just a hotel because the grounds are so well thought out and looked after. Outfoor Pool area is gorgeous but some bits need a bit of an extra clean or facelift- the rim around the pool had gone green and some features looked slightly dated or cluttered. Our room was nice and big (Mansion house superior) but I think it's hit or miss which room you get. Ours looked a lot more dated in decor compared to……

“Although I was expecting a feature room with the four poster bed, the allocated room wasn’t bad and big enough for my family. Unfortunately, the welcome and interaction from the manager on duty when we arrived after a wedding nearby wasn’t the greatest. We had checked prior about check in times and were told it was 24 hours, so wasn’t expecting the resistance we got when we arrived. We told the manager on duty we were guests and needed to check in - he seemed rather confused and defensive about……
