“I booked here for a catch-up with a dear friend. It was nice and clean, but i booked a twin room, but they gave us a double, so that had to be sorted and the basin in the bathroom was severely cracked, so reported that also. Food was just ok, but expensive, plus the drinks also. A small glass of prosecco and a red wine was over £20 Breakfast was plentiful, but the staff on breakfast duty on 24/3 need additional training in customer services ”

“A perfect stay and will definitely be back. Easy check in, the rooms, 1 and 2, were fantastic and great for the dogs. The facilities in the room were everything we needed. The bar and restaurant were really well set out and the decor created a nice homely feel, very relaxing. The food was perfect, good portion sized, nicely presented and really good quality. “Incredible location close to everything, friendly staff, good value. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with nice views, lots of amenities including kettle, full bath. Llangollen is a beautiful, friendly town with local shops/no franchises. There are wonderful walks along canals to waterfalls, deserted abbeys. ”

“Hotel and rooms need a lot of TLC, water takes a while to heat up and when it does the pressure in the shower is awful. Pool wasnt bad but there were no spa appointments avaliable depsite having a membership. And the junior suite dosent look like the photos. Ended up makkng a complaint andnit was rectified but still not happy with my stay. Wasnt worth the money I paid. ”

“Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor……

“Room was okay but small. The mattress was amazingly comfortable albeit the wooden bed frame was a little creaky. The walls are paper thin and the doors closing and opening extremely noisy so not as restful a break as the location demands”
