However lunch was excellent in respect of food and service, There was some noise from the bar and lounge area in the late evening which disturbed some of our sleep and we were astounded to see a bible had been thrown on a roof overlooking reception.łmnh

This hotel is in a fantastic location,but the interior and rooms are very dated and are in need of a good overhaul.The bathroom didn’t look the cleanest but I also think some of that was due to age of it. Great beer garden and as I was there on the hottest weekend of the year it was very much enjoyed.

The hotel has a great location, however it looks tired, dated and needs a good clean in some areas. We had a family room and it was overlooking the outside drinking area so it was very noisy until very late evening not ideal when you have children. I didn't see many staff but those I did were helpful and polite, breakfast was good. I thought parking was offered by the hotel thats how i read it, but you have to pay £8 per day and its was first come first served as the public can use it. This is an ok hotel but I dont think I would rush back.

We had to move rooms as the sliding sash window was broken and couldn't close, but the weekend staff were pretty helpful to try and sort this for us. The rooms are quite spacious, a good provision of towels and toiletries was nice to see. A few old and tired fixtures and fittings as you'd expect from an establishment as old as this, but it's in a wonderful part of the world in a great location which is walking distance to Llangollen, all amenities and the Pavilion.

Hotel was in a great location and our room had beautiful views of the river and nearby church. Was happy with the hotel and service for the price, unfortunate that parking isn’t included in the price since you would need a car to get to this hotel.
