We stayed in The Farmhouse for a week and that incorporated my nieces wedding over the weekend. We had family with us for four days and 1 dog. My first impressions of the house were "what a lovely spot" and that view is to die for! The kids loved the garden to play and run around in and the adults enjoyed catching the sun with a glass of wine or two in super peaceful surroundings.
We found some lovely walks (and some very steep hills), both from the house and on trips out in the car. the surrounding villages and area are beautiful.
The kitchen had everything and more that you could need, and the whole house was quirky, with its wonky floors and low beans upstairs, to its "interior design type furniture in all the rooms. All the rooms were spacious and the kids loved the mezzanine bed! The beds were comfy and rooms were light.
We had some fresh flowers, a hamper of sweet things and a wooden chopping board given to us which were very nice touches.
Neil was very quick to answer my questions, as we had a few!
We did however experience a couple of things that took away a little bit from the stay....
the towels were really hard,
the taps dripped in most of the bathroom sinks, and the master bedroom shower had leaks from the seal in two places,
the tumble drier didn't work, which was a pain after i had done a wash.
and we had a leak from the fourth bedroom Ensuite shower which ran down and through an electric light that was on downstairs!
Both of the things above were going to be looked into after we left.
So although we had a lovely time i don't think we will stay there again.
