Our 5th time at this property! We love spending our weekend before Christmas here. It is extremely cozy and the Christmas tree was up! Staying here is one of our most favorite Christmas traditions! The home has everything you could need while you are staying here and is very clean!! We love all the electric blankets and big comfy couch!!
Second time staying at the Sunset Hideaway. Lauren and her team have mastered hosting! Great property with lots of unique touches. Probably the most well-stocked rental I've ever had! She and her team are very pleasant to deal with; will be back!
If you’re trying to decide where to stay, stop your quest and book this place. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable and we were very grateful to be able to bring our dog along. Took a day trip to Niagara Falls and fit in plenty of relaxation. The hosts were excellent communicators and we couldn’t have enjoyed the place more.
Our 3rd time staying here and it did not disappoint! We come to this area because of this amazing property. It is such a nice place to get away for the weekend and spend time with the family. Lauren and her team thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable and carefree. The views from each room are just amazing and the cozy feeling of this property makes us never want to leave! Thank you again for a wonderful stay, we will be back!
Property was neat and clean. All amenities were in excellent working condition. The added supplies of coffee, paper plates, cups, and plastic utensils were a welcomed surprise. Plenty of towels of various types were greatly appreciated.

The house is immaculate and well appointed with nice appliances and plenty of thick towels, blankets, extra throws to wrap in. But the best was the view over Lake Erie. We sat around the fire pit above the shore and enjoyed a lovely sunset. The owners have made every effort to assure a comfortable stay.
From firewood to hot cocoa, electric blankets, board games, oversized towels and locally crafted wine, our host thought of everything we could have wanted or needed for a relaxing getaway. Feel refreshed. Thank you!
Best experience ever. Cabin was more than we expected. Everything and more. Very very very well stuck. Can't wait to go back one of this days. We will definitely recommend this to friends. Like my son said ( i give this place 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
First--the view--wow! The property is on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie. There's a back deck and then a grassy area up to the drop off to a very small beach. You can see the lake easily from the living room, which has glass French doors on the whole back side. There is one bedroom, with a very comfortable bed, but not much room to spare and little shelf space. There's built-in bunk beds in the living room. One small but nice bathroom with almost no shelf space. The kitchen is fully stocked, including coffee, tea and condiments. The sink is awkward but there is also a dishwasher. There is a separate, small unit with a few beds. Tons of towels, blankets, sheets, games. The place was fully cleaned. Smaller than the pictures show, but a very cozy and wonderful getaway.
I stayed here with my family, 9 people and dogs, for four nights. When we pulled into the driveway the outside of the house appeared to be warn down, but we were pleasantly surprised by the inside. It is well decorated and has a cozy cabin vibe to it. The place is well stocked with supplies and the appliances are all new. They also had a jar filled with s'mores supplies when we arrived which was a nice welcoming treat.
The view of lake eerie is unbeatable.
The steps to the lake are in the neighbors, so you have to walk across their yard. During our stay, the neighbors were not very friendly. Some of us felt uneasy walking through their yard, but we did it anyways because being at the lake is a must for this trip. My family and I walked along the rocks for hours!
But, one of the days I was out back with my dog when all of a sudden he ran off barking. I chased after him to find a man taking out the trash. The man did not introduce himself, but I could tell he was the owner. There was no notice of anyone coming to take out the trash during our stay. I felt uneasy about the whole thing because the house had lots of outdoor security including a ring so I feel like they had to know we were there. And my uncle was napping in the little outhouse on the top bunk when the man entered not just once, but twice. Said he was coming in to "close the door." Very uncomfortable situation, but otherwise a nice trip.
This was my second stay in the past 18 months. The property was very well taken care of and clean. My wife loved the abundance of towels, paper plates, and plastic utensils. The view of the lake was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Great place to get away! We had a fantastic trip. The house was stocked really well for our stay and communication with the host was fantastic. Definitely recommend this place for a weekend trip on the lake!
Our 4th time at this property and we love it! My family LOVES that there is a Christmas tree set up it adds so much to the coziness of this house. We enjoyed going down to the lake and also sitting on the back porch. We love all the electric blankets and the overall coziness of the house. It is clean and has everything you would need for a short weekend stay! I really love our time in this house we have so many memories here! Thanks for sharing your home with us!
Without repeating all the good details of other reviewers, I’ll add that although pets are allowed you would never know it by how clean and fresh the cabin is. While compact, the space is extremely well organized and laid out. We saw bald eagles, a peregrine falcon, nut hatches, blue jays, and orioles, all from the back porch. The rental is well stocked with many good quality towels, linens, laundry detergent, pots, pans, dishes, and many more household goods. We spent every morning sipping coffee on the back porch. Because of the many trees and shrubs you can’t see neighbors to your right and only a partial view of the neighbors to the left. It was a very peaceful stay. The owner is easy to communicate with and the coded lock was easy to operate. We visited several wineries in the area and took a nice hike with our dogs at Lake Erie State park which was up the road a few miles. I loved the fact that the place was so wild on the road side. You can barely see the house from the road. I highly recommend this vacation rental
We stumbled upon this listing and booked because it looked cute and was close enough to our home for a quick getaway. When we arrived, we were amazed by how nice it was. Our host thought of absolutely everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We hadn’t even left before we were looking at dates to book again!
We had a wonderful time here. We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The kitchen has everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) you might need. I completely recommend this for anyone looking for a slice of peace and being able to recharge yourself. The sunset was beautiful!!!!! I can’t wait to go back again!
We found this place at the last minute. Husband and I brought our dog and Sunset Hideaway is fabulous. Every amenity was so well thought out. Check in was easy with an entry code. Lauren’s team brought fire wood and gave us some recommendations for wineries in the area. Lauren recommended Tuscany market in Fredonia which was terrific. We loved everything about our stay.. Saw eagles soaring off the bluff, two beautiful sunsets, and enjoyed one morning of rain on the deck under the sheltering room. Beautiful cabin, ,sunsets, wineries, and a little bit of relaxing rain equals a perfect getaway!
