“Our room was very nice, with great lighting for reading in bed. The room was clean and comfy, with a window seat that doubled as a suitcase rest. Wish the soap had been bigger. The staff was nice.”

“We could hear the guy snoring next to us and was loud. But we were able to sleep. We set an alarm for the breakfast which ended at 9:30am. I got there at 910am, the biscuits were hard as a rock and gravy was dried up. The only option was cereal, which I don’t eat usually. We ended up going out to eat for breakfast. Other than that - it was a good stay, dark room and great shower!”

“Truly a historic building with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Indoor pool is large and clean. Outdoor pool was not open yet but looks wonderful. The view of Union City in the valley below was so pretty. We were upgraded from a standard queen room to a king, which was a pleasant surprise. Lobby has a large fireplace and great staircase. We enjoyed playing a couple of games of chess there, accompanied by a drink from the bar. Hotel is older and may lack a few things but……

“Room was huge and clean. Unfortunately for guests, there isn't any place to safely walk to for meals, although there are several places nearby. High traffic area. ”

“Solid golf course (Lakeview) for beginners or people who aren’t great at golf. Fairways are open and easy to stay in. Hotel was solid, friendly staff, easy commute to Cooper’s Rock, WVU, restaurants around. Shower pressure was a bit light but did the job. Highly recommend”

“Nice place to stay before going to Ruby Memorial for surgery. Was put in a smoking room, which is not what I wanted. It smelled as if another person had used the bathroom just before leaving the room. The beds were clean but this room needs a new carpet, or better yet, replace with vinyl flooring.”
