Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. I had a lovely stay and will stay there again if/when I come back to Penrith.”

“Stunning hotel and amazing atmosphere , 5 minutes from the train station , the 1 bed apartment exceeding my expectations, the bed was amazingly comfortable and the place was spotless with some crumpets and butter and milk in the fridge was just a brilliant touch , full sky tv and the shower is brand new ”

“A lovely, characterful old building on the edge of the Lake District, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, helping us feel right at home. It is very convenient as a base, being on the road between Penrith and Pooley Bridge with a direct bus route between the two, going as far as Windermere, and for drivers it is a good place to access most parts of the Lake District, being not far from the M6 and A66, making access to Carlisle and the Scottish borders equally easy. The room was very clean……
