3 Bedroom Self Catering Holiday Lodge, Near Bude Cornwall.

14 The Coombe is a privately owned self catering holiday lodge set in 30 acres on Penstowe Park. The lodge enjoys a distant sea view. It sleeps 7 guests in 3 bedrooms (1 double bedroom, 1 twin room and 1 double 1 single room) and the option of an additional 2 guests on a sofa bed in the lounge. It has a fully equipped kitchen oven, hob, microwave and fridge. The spacious lounge/diner has a table and 6 chairs plus 3 additional fold out chairs and a high chair, 3 sofas and a TV with Freeview plus DVD player. The bathroom has a bath with an electric shower above, basin and toilet.

The lodge is situated near to Bude with its spectacular surfing beaches and National Trust Areas. This makes it an ideal base for exploring in Cornwall and Devon

Bed linen is provided, the beds will be made for you on arrival. There are also 2 tea towels, oven gloves and a bath mat. Towels are not included in the booking so you will have to bring your own.There are electric heaters in the bedrooms and the living room. Electricity is provided via electric cards, any extra required are available to purchase from The Cabin, on site. To the front of the lodge is a patio, picnic bench and a grass area which enjoys a sunny aspect right up until sunset (weather permitting). There is free parking close to the lodge. People with restricted mobility should be aware there are steps to access the lodge.

The local village of Kilkhampton is only a short walk/drive and has a couple of local stores and a Co-Op, 2 Public Houses with restaurants, Chinese and Pizza Takeaways.

Penstowe Park is a pet friendly site but does request dogs are kept on leads and not left unattended in the Lodges.

We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at an additional charge of £20 per dog per stay.

Our stay was great. The lodge offers everything you need and is perfect for large families. The park itself isn’t particularly special, but if you simply need a place to sleep while you spend your days exploring Cornwall, then this lodge is a great choice.

Nice and clean chalet, good beds and gets the sun on the patio into the evening. Perfect for families and dog friendly too, what more could you want. Lovely area (Kilkhampton/Bude) also.

The property was well equipped, home from home, larger inside than I thought it would be , having 3 bedrooms was a bonus even though there was only 2 of us . Perfect location , very clean . There were 8 of us in our group and there was plenty of room for everyone. Nice and quiet In the evenings . It was just a Perfect week away 🙂 My only complaint would be that the double bed was very hard but I suppose that's down to preference as I like a soft mattress. It didn't ruin my holiday so overall very happy indeed 😊

Booked less than 24hrs before arrival due to other prebooked accommodation being flooded. Peter was an excellent host and was able to answer any queries quickly for us. Beautiful accommodation, absolutely spotless on arrival, comfy, spacious and well equipped. Highly recommended for families.

Well maintained property, liked the ambience. Electricity is pre-paid and the shop that sells cards on site is open for limited hours on certain days only. Owner was proactive in informing us of this so was not an issue. The bathroom could have done with a bath mat.

the property was a very good size, clean and tidy. The actual site though [The mansion house] was shutting down the facilities due to lack of subscribers ..The people who own there. It's a shame as there was a nice looking indoor pool and sauna/fitness area we were not allowed access to. - It was a very enjoyable time apart from the weather but hey this was Cornwall in late october ..next time I book I'll try June .

Excellent stay in a very clean comfy lodge, everything we needed in a great location. Communications with the owner/manager faultless. Our stay was made so much better with the ease and no worry from booking right through to vacating . If we return to the area we will definitely return here.
