Victorian era Opera House that is still in use today.

Buxton Opera House is a 902 seat theatre located in The Square, Buxton, Derbyshire, England.

It hosts the annual Buxton Festival and, from 1994 to 2013, the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival as well as pantomime at Christmas, musicals and other entertainments year-round.

Hosting live performances until 1927, the theatre then was used mostly as a cinema until 1976.

In 1979, it was refurbished and reopened as a venue for live performance.

Buxton is a beautiful Spa Town in England which can be seen via this converted Milk Float that holds a maximum of 8 people.

We took the hour long tour and it was very worthwhile! If your'e there, take time to drop into the Opera House where the tour starts from.

Excellent stay, the staff were all very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Staff kept the room well stocked with coffee and biscuit supplies. Really enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at Jo’s cottage. Very warm and welcoming despite the chilly february weather. We’d definitely come back! The cottage has everything you’d need and beautiful views of the countryside.
