Stay in Byron Bay

I stayed three nights in a 5-bunk dorm. The hostel is a good base to explore the surrounding area. Don't miss Wategos beach, Cape Byron lighthouse, Nimbin and Mullumbimby. All great destinations.

Unlike other YHA hostels , this one is twice as expensive and is full of loud and arrogant people who show no accountability to their drunk behaviour and do not respect others who are staying there. Very hard to get some sleep. Better off sleeping in a car.

The place was good, clean bathrooms, friendly staff. Unfortunately though, I didn’t get much sleep due to other people walking around throughout the night talking really loudly. Not your fault. Thanks

The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a day pass to use the common facilities and car park after check out till 12 noon. The room was clean and spacious enough. There were some noise during the night that woke us up. On the day of check out, they washed the car park and splashed lots of dirt onto our car body. When we complained to the cleaner, he gave excuses and later used a cloth to wipe off the big pieces of mouldy dirt from our car door.
