I chose the Harbour View room, and it was definitely worth it—the view was stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions. "We stayed in the old postal office part of the hotel. The rooms are quite large and high ceilinged. The room itself reflects the age it was built and was furnished in mid century style of recent manufacture. The bathroom was lavish and thoroughly modern. We were greeted by the bell caption before we even entered and the bell staff was immediately attendant when there was a small performance issue with our key card. They sorted it out in minutes. This portion of the hotel is much like a well preserved old museum including that welcoming fragrance of older homes. The small restaurant in the lobby called "The Bar" has some very nice food available that we had on a number of times when we were looking for immediate convenience. Housekeeping and the front desk staff were also exemplary in performance. This portion of Sydney is very walkable with Circular Quay, The Sydney Opera House, The Royal Botanical Gardens, museums, very good restaurants all within a 15 minute walk radius. High end shopping is less than 5 minutes away. If your morning starts before 8:00AM there is a nice street cafe immediately to your left as you exit the lobby where you can get something and be back in your room in 15 minutes. An option with tables under roof is about 5 minutes more walk exiting to the right. I heartily recommend The Fullerton Sidney hotel to anyone who might be considering a place to stay in down town Sydney."
