We booked this condo and paid for it in advance. When I went to show some friends the photos of the unit I was aghast by a new and negative review that was posted. We thought "what have we done". We were terrified to go but had no other choice. However, our overall feeling of this condo is the opposite of the other review, we were thoroughly pleased and comfortable.
Naturally, we had our attention on the problems that the other renter had. However, the bathroom shower leak never happened as we used the shower curtain that was provided. There was sofa space for five people in the living and, steps away, there were three more cushioned chairs and a pair of hand stitched puff chairs - we had seating for everyone in our group. The terrace did have comfortable seating for two couples with two enormous cushioned chairs. When we needed more seating we just walked a couple steps to get them. It is evident that unit did not have a professional $100K decorator job. However, since we own a few rental properties ourselves we understand how a good portion of renters don't respect the property they are renting. Hot water did take just under thirty seconds to reach the second floor MBR. We did have to use hand gestures to explain some extras we needed from Maritza the maid since we don't speak Spanish. However, it was easy enough to call the management company so they could translate for us. Let's face it, when you are in a foreign country where you don't speak the language you can't really blame the help for not understanding you, LOL. We didn't have contact with the owner but the management company is off property just five minutes away. They were very professional and helped us with many details.
Our group was there for a major triathlon event and we were four children and five adults. We are thankful that there was an extra queen mattress provided under one of the beds along with pillows and high thread count sheets. We were very happy to find the unit clean, mostly freshly painted, and a kitchen with more appliances than our own home. Some are older than others but they all work flawlessly.
The views this condo has are more than five star! You are literally 100' over sea level looking down on the golfer's shooting par's and an ocean sunset to die for!
We would likely stay in this unit again.
