“Clean room. Beautiful property. Friendly staff. Safe, well lit space to park your car. Note: the property must be in the flight path and is beside a very busy, noisy street but we heard nothing that kept us awake. Conveniently located very close to the San Jose airport”

“Excellent proximity to airport but until 11pm there is plane noise. Starts again in the am but not super early. Convenient to major highways but traffic is a nightmare in San Jose. Allow hours to get out of the greater metro area”

“We stayed at the Berlin on our way back to Canada. Spotless room. Really lovely, helpful staff. She booked us an airport taxi for very early the next morning. They were up when we were leaving at 5 am and gave us coffee and a take-out breakfast. We will stay there on our next visit.”

“Adriana, the property owner, was very welcoming. She covered all the logistics clearly and she also arranged for our shuttle to the airport which was very helpful. The room was basic but very comfortable. Our only issue was finding it as Costa Rica does not have street addresses. There was a map and description so we got close but needed help. Our taxi driver was able to phone Adriana for assistsnce.”

“Superzimmer, sauber, toll ausgestattet (Küche, Bad, Klimaanlage), für unseren Bedarf mehr als ausreichend. Allerdings war es schwierig zu finden da wir zum ersten Mal in Costa Rica waren und nachts angekommen sind. Der Taxifahrer wusste zu helfen. Gerne wieder.”

“The room was clean. The problem for us was that our flight was at 2 pm and we thought we could sleep in a little. The room has no sound proofing whatsoever so we dealt with very loud children at 7-8 am. You can also hear the planes as if you were next to the airport. Most importantly it is not a bed and breakfast. Yes there is a breakfast option, but it is charged separately.”

“This lodging is a hidden gem away from Poas but close enough to get to the crater within 20 minutes. The views from the dining area were spectacular. The owner, Cindy, communicated clearly and often. She provided excellent directions to the property which is located high up on a hill in a residential area. The bedding was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend Serenity Ecolodge for a stay near Poas Volcano. I have nothing but good things to say about the……

“Airport shuttle comes every half hour, and the staff from the airport was very helpful in directing people where to go. Nice big clean room. The only thing I was super disappointed in was the pool. The pool is the smallest pool I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Good thing we were able to use the pool at the sister hotel, Double Tree, which was much nicer. All in all, it was a good experience ”

“Excelente lugar rodeado de naturaleza, una hermosa piscina, comida muy rica en el restaurante. Únicos puntos "negativos" la cama sonaba muchísimo y durante fin de semana de evento en Parque Viva vas a escuchar mucho ruido externo a la propiedad y al hotel”
