"A very charming and remodelled village hotel with an excellent restaurant - locals and travelers alike are welcome. Chef creates new dishes depending the daily food availability - mostly local - organic and fresh. Room was very nice, clean and had a new wonderful bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast made to order plus smaller buffet for yoghurt, juices, cereals. We would come back anytime."

"Staff were great, the room was ok but could do with a bit of TLC. Decent size bath with shower. Coffee and tea making was provided and a 24 inch LG TV with freeview channels. Slept well."

"We had a lovely stay surrounded by nature, quiet and relaxing. The staff were all lovely, the food was great and eating al fresco was a bonus. Our room could have been a bit cleaner and the bathroom had a bit of a musty smell but it is an old pub so goes with the territory. The bed was comfortable and we slept peacefully and well. "

"We had a wonderful time, a family gathering to celebrate a 90th birthday. The house had everything we needed. The pool is fab, Warm and sheltered. With the good weather it got well used. One day the whole family, ages 2 - 90, played in the water. The location is lovely. So quiet with wonderful views at the rear. Watching the Barn owl fly to and fro at dusk so close to the house was magical. Thank you Laura for the use of your home. "

"Nice place to stay - very convenient for events at Sparkford Hall as its walkable in 10 minutes - comfy family room which was spacious and had the essentials with a nice clean bathroom. Would stay again in the future as it was in quite a nice location."

"Everything about the hotel/pub was great. But I couldn’t get food - restaurant closed early, and I wasn’t told this when I checked in. Also I’m elderly and no help was offered to find and get to my room. "
