Very nice place to stay. Zahra is a wonderful host. So welcoming and lovely. The Apartment was beautiful. Very clean and very well equipped. Beautiful balcony. Delicious breakfast. The whole facility is so beautiful and well kept. Internet perfect with Netflix.The town Puerto Viejo de Talamanca wasn't our taste, but that is a matter of opinion. There is a little supermarket in walking distance.For going into town we rented a Tuktuk (Karla's or Carlos' Tuktuk). You can write a message with Whatsapp. Worked perfectly.

Exceptional property

We had a fantastic stay at Lazy Parrots during our visit to the Puerto Viejo area. The apartments are very clean, comfortable, safe and offer all of the amenities needed for an extended stay including wonderful breakfasts each morning. Zahra, the property host, lives on-site and is extremely accommodating of any requests we had during our visit. The beach is directly accessible from the property and the town is well positioned to drive around the area and enjoy it's many sights. Additionally, we did see some animals on site, including a sloth and surprising number of red-eyed tree frogs in a common pergola area on the premises. We are well travelled across Costa Rica and would gladly return to Puerto Viejo and stay at the Lazy Parrots apartments once again.

Relaxing Stay In A Beautiful Place

Property is even better in person! There is a beach trail down to the beach where we saw a sloth and monkey on our first morning here. There are several beachfront properties in the area but we preferred this location with a private beach path as we got to go on a little jungle adventure each morning to reach the beautiful black sand beach. Breakfast delivered to the room each morning was an excellent touch and honestly these breakfasts were some of the most delicious we experienced in Costa Rica. Extremely nice and hospitable host. Would 100% stay here again and recommend to family/friends.
