Hotel has a good location and much character as a mid 1930s building, with a wonderful roof terrace where breakfast is served. Bedrooms are basic, bathroom was functional, and the bedroom had a fridge which is useful. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

OK retro hotel in downtown Cairo, a fabulous neighborhood. With the demise of the Windsor, I guess this is an alternative, but not as nice. A/C worked well and hot water solid. Loved the area but the hotel needs a "sprucing".

Interesting hotel built in 1935 and still has many of the features from that time. All the staff were absolutely wonderful. We had the romantic top floor room with a little garden and loved the privacy. Bathroom was a little dated but everything worked fine.

The hotel is a tired old beauty. A little rough around the edges but a classic old hotel with its open elevator to the rooftop restaurant. The staff is friendly and courteous. Take the rooftop garden suite for an incredible stay :)
