Gorgeous Location

The house is located in a small charming fishing village. The view of the ocean below is spectacular! We went with another couple for 8 nights and the home was very comfortable. We would highly recommend it!

Another wonderful stay at this lovely villa

This was our third stay and a first rate experience from communication with the owners to the on-site support from Chris and team. Located in Jardim do Mar, the jewel in the crown of Madeira, it's a joy to hear the ocean, the kestrels and watch the sunsets. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Classy villa

This is our third stay at this wonderfully located villa. We love Jardim do Mar, and this villa is our No 1 choice for holidays in Madeira. If it had some sort of solar powered pool heating it would be even better. Other than that, it is pretty much perfect, clean, lovely views, spacious and really quite classy.

Lovely spot to simply relax

Beautiful village and plenty of sunshine. The house is right at the end of the village. There isn't any car access to the house so pack light to carry your necessities in from the central parking lot. Very peaceful!

Sound of the surf in a quiet village

Jardim is a lovely village. No roads but walking paths. The villa is perfect, Nice view at the Ocean and the cliffs. If you get nervous from 24*7 sound of the surf this is not your place. We got zen and would love to return.

Wonderful

This house has the most wonderful views. Whichever room you are in you are treated to sea or cliff views. The village of Jardim do Mar is very pretty and peaceful. We had a very restful ten days here. Easy check in. Good contact. Everything is spotlessly clean. Kitchen is well stocked. Everything was just perfect. Joes bar is just a short walk away and was a lovely place to eat or drink. All in all a great holiday.

Surpassed expectations

This property is absolutely breathtaking, when we booked we knew it would be amazing but the reality of the property and the location is so much more than the listing shows. I was extremely impressed with the property itself, so much bigger and better than the pictures portray. The views from the property are out of this world, absolutely stunning. Sleeping with the door open listening to the waves is something else. I cannot rate this property enough, Jardim Do Mar is beautiful, whilst we did explore some of Madeira I would have been content staying put. We will absolutely be looking to return we have fallen in love with Madeira and this house, I fear for any future bookings elsewhere as I don’t think they will live up to this. Sinply amazing

Great property; great views. Good location. The listing could do more to make clear that you cannot park at the house. You need to find a parking space in the village and walk c10 minutes to the house. The village is lovely so this would not generally be an issue but one of our party has a bad leg. Expect around an hour's drive to most tourist destinations. A welcome pack (e.g. milk, bread, coffee) would have been appreciated - especially because our flight was on a Sunday and delayed so that we did not land until after the shops shut. A folder with guidance is also recommended. Btw, note that the lava tubes at St Vincente are currently closed and have been for several years - due to re-open in 2024.

The town and view are hard to beat. Chris the onsite host was incredible. Kitchen was great and well equipped, but it would have really been nice to have some things like paper towels and cooking oil already there since the shop in town is limited. Bathrooms need to be updated, especially with most other rentals in town being newly updated, these are dated and wearing out, things like the shower door seals are all split and degrading. Shower heads are awful. The washer and dryer are pretty worn, dirty and rusted, but they did work ok for us. The house could really use a deep cleaning, key areas like kitchen and bathrooms were clean but had mold in other parts of the bathroom, walls are dirty and the blinds throughout have dirty handprints all over them like someone grabbed them with BBQ sauce on their hands. There was also a severe ant problem in the house. Kitchen and bathrooms were full of small black ants, all food of any kind had to be kept in the oven or fridge and it made food prep a challenge. There were few towels, and they were all very thin, though there were two great pool towels. The pool was great, lots of chairs inside and outside with nice cushions. We loved that there are so many doors that can be fully opened to the outside. Images are a bit dated, there are a couple more houses beside it now and a large crane blocking much of the view building a restaurant just below. Overall, I would still rent it again and had a great experience despite the minor issues.

Super Lage - ruhig und direkt oberhalb des Meeres, großes Haus, super ausgestattete Küche - so viel Geschirr, Besteck und Töpfe hatten wir noch nie in einem Ferienhaus. Wir waren 5 Erwachsene. Eigentümer haben Fragen schnell beantwortet. TV haben wir nicht genutzt. Möglicherweise muss man sich für die Nutzung von Sendern registrieren und bezahlen. Bitte beachten, dass man mit dem Auto nicht bis zum Haus fahren kann, steht aber in der Objektbeschreibung drin. Schwere Koffer und Einkäufe schleppen ist mitunter etwas mühsam. Aber das ist der einzige "Nachteil". Also gerne wieder!! Simone

Kurz zusammengefasst: ein perfektes Haus in perfekter Lage. Einfach nur toll. Die wenigen Kritikpunkte der Bewerter aus der Vergangenheit wurden offensichtlich alle ernst genommen und behoben. Vom unkomplizierten Check-In bis zur herrlichen Sonnenterrasse und bei windigem, kühleren Wetter das wunderbare Panorama-Zimmer, die gut ausgestattete Küche und die angenehmen Schlafzimmer mit 2 Bädern - einfach nur ein Traum. Wir haben jede Minute hier genossen. Abends in Joes Bar, tagsüber wandern oder die Terrasse genießen. Besser kann man sich gar nicht entspannen.Die Eröffnung der Kunst-Bar unterhalb des Hauses scheint auch noch auf sich warten zu lassen, worüber wir Ruhesuchenden auch nicht traurig waren.

Lovely location and we were prepared for the walk to the accommodation as described in the property details.The views from every window great and yes there is going to be a restaurant and gallery built nearby (it won’t overlook or impact the views from the property) and it will be convenient when you don’t want to cook!

Heel mooie ligging, ervaring verpest door bouwwerf naast de woning

Zeer mooie woning, alle nodige comfort is aanwezig, zeer ruim en aangenaam ingericht. Continu de zee horen is een pluspunt, ook dat de woning in een pittoresk, autovrij dorpje is gelegen is positief. Wij vonden het jammer dat het uitzicht in de slaapkamers verstoord werd door een bouwkraan. 's Morgens om 8u gewekt worden door bouwvakkers die aan de slag gaan, was een domper op ons vakantiegevoel. Jammer, want zonder deze werf, is dit een aangewezen plek om een top vakantie te beleven.

Ferienhaus in Traumlage

Das Ferienhaus ist wunderbar im Hang gelegen und bietet einen spektakulären Blick über den Ozean, welcher sich laut tosend unterhalb ans Ufer drückt. Der Ort Jardim do mar gehört unserer Meinung nach zu den schönsten Orten der Insel Madeira. Dass man vom Parkplatz aus nur zu Fuß durch die engen Gassen zum Haus gelangt - empfanden wir als charmant. Für geübte Wanderer ist das kein Problem. Unterhalb des Hauses wird derzeit eine Gaststätte gebaut: vom Baulärm haben wir zwischen Sturm und Brandung nur wenig gehört. Innen findet sich eine geräumige Küche, die viel Platz für gesellige Runden bietet. An der Ausstattung müsste mal wieder ein wenig gearbeitet werden. Die meisten Geräte funktionieren nur noch einigermaßen und auch das Geschirr ist nicht mehr ganz so fit. Die Betten waren für uns alle bequem. Wem es zu kalt wurde, der hatte im Schrank wärmere Decken zur Verfügung. Hinter der Terrasse gab es einen offenen Grillofen. Dort konnte man sich die phantastisch frischen Fische zubereiten, die wir uns immer wieder im Pinge Doce in Calheta besorgt haben. Am Anreisetag war Chris sofort zur Stelle und hat uns bei allen Fragen geholfen. Er ist die gute Seele des Hauses und sehr nett. Er kümmert sich auch um den Pool, der hier natürlich auch noch erwähnt werden soll. Anfang März war es etwas zu kühl für längere Badezeiten - im Sommer ist der Pool aber definitiv ein Highlight des Hauses.

Ein Traumhaus mit tollem Ausblick

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub. Vorab war die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter schon super. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir von Chris am Parkplatz empfangen. Der Weg zum Haus ist nicht lang, ein paar Treppen auf und ab. Das Haus selber ist gepflegt und top ausgestattet. Wir haben uns ab der ersten Minute gleich wohl gefühlt. Einmal pro Woche werden die Handtücher und die Bettwäsche gewechselt. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft, wir kommen gerne wieder! Es war ein sehr toller Urlaub auf Madeira!!!
